Street Fighter V |OTVIII| New Delayed Generation - Controversial Inputs

Deadshot is the only character in the game that's zoning is a legitimate problem and he's designed to be that way.

Sure yes, he's a little overpowered right now but with just a few small nerfs, he'll be in the perfect place.

Like I said before, zoning in this game is a lot easier to deal with in this game as compared to IJ1.

Does he even need a nerf? I think making blocks gaining meter would already do it.

While we are taking about zoning. Bring me back Sagat in SFV. Preferably O.Sagat strong.

I have 0 faith in Capcpom making Sagat good in this game.

Either his limbs are gonna be good with a shitty fireball, or his fireballs gonna be great with shit limbs but definitely not the best of both worlds.

I think if/when Sagat gets in they should make him a really good zoner, but I fear they might see his qcf inputs as justification for nerfing his fireball game like Ryu, or otherwise they might do something lame like lock his low tiger shot behind V-Trigger or something.

Just let the king shine, Capcom.

Don't jinx it lol. Hopefully they will do a good job in re-imagining his moveset as they did Akuma and Ken.

I like all the SF2 remixes except Bison. Even though the game made it clear how much it hate Sagat's type of play, the other two SF2 characters with that type of gameplay had their best iteration ever in SFV. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I love Bison in this. He feels so crazy strong. Maybe it's the knee I dunno.

Birdie is by far the best. That character was grade a boring until they morphed him into what he is now.

Played someone last night using the thailand stage, how was that possible? Also pretty dissapointed at the delay for season 2.5, Tekken will no doubt take some people away, self included

If your opponent purchased the Thailand stage during the brief window it was avaiable they can still fight on it.

So I decided to make a push for diamond this weekend, because you're trash if you're not at least Diamond. And I my have lost 25 out of 30 matches and fell all the way to Platinum. I lost maybe 2.5k in less than an hour. Flux trashed me a few times and everyone else. It was like I temporarily had no idea how to play at all. Opponent rank or character did not matter. This lasted for the entire Weekend. Then yesterday I won it all back pretty quickly. I think I need a break. But I do want to have sessions with some really good players in here so I can step up to the next level.

Me or another Flux? Since I wasn't able to play online this weekend since I was off at Toryuken.

But yeah, those momentum shifts happen. I'm familiar with long loss streaks online, and other times things just click. A lot of it is about mental endurance and state of mind; it's something I'm still trying to get a grasp on. It's the main reason why I lost against Justin Wong.

I'm on an upward trend on Ranked ever since I hit Master. Currently at a 55 win streak. A lot of it is really about just not worrying about the outcome of the match, and not playing to win asap.

Maybe I played you right before the skid on Thursday. I remember you trashing me a couple times.
You are right. Patience is a big key when I start losing I want to get my shit back asap.

i've been in the 12.5k range for months now, it sucks. Win 3-4 matches in a row, lose one to a plat player and you're back to square one lol

I think Ed will be a good zoner. Has solid anti-airs too.

Ed has anti-airs for every situation. Despite the way he looks, he really seems to excel in the "come to me" kind of playstyle. Like Honda.

EDIT - except the fact that he can't buffer a poke because his specials all whiff at a max range c.mk. Why???!

Man Platinum league is the most comfortable league. I just don't want to leave it now lol, you get to play against some of the best players, yet lose nothing if they beat you and no matter how many times you lose, just one win against Ultra plat, diamond or super Diamond and you get all what you lost back :p.

I wasn't really a fan of Juri's story-mode costume, but the new color 15 makes it look pretty good, IMO. Rather expensive at 20k FM, though, but I think it was worth it:

But it is getting increasingly difficult to navigate the store. There are probably more than 200 different colors to select from, so it is a pain to find the one you are interested in. Plus that you cannot actually see what you are purchasing.

What happened ?

No splitscreen mode. Okay, everything is online based. Whatever. Then your online better be the best goddamn online ever.

Nah. You get 8 player lobbies, but as far as I can tell, you can't play while other people are fighting, nor spectate. That's if you can find someone to play with, because the game might come with region locked matchmaking. What's a good way to kill a game that's already niche as shit and coming to the consoles for the first time in a while? Locking them away from each other yayyy!

There's a tutorial mode, I think, but the only actual training mode is like playing on MAME where you set the CPU to Stop and put their health to infinite and practice that way. It'll make things like figuring out how to counter anti-tracking moves (which prevent you from locking onto and sometimes hitting them, but you can punish them with certain moves after it runs out). Better hope your friend is home so you can try shit out on them like it's the SNES days.

Suits are from the first portions of the Gundam series. Meaning, like for 00s it's S1 and not S1 AND S2 like the older games. A lotta grunt units too, but whatever.

Also, the online seems super barebones compared to Tekken. Where's the tournament mode? They have stuff like 3v3 and VS CPU Bosses or whatever, but on a competitive level it just seems dry. Additionally, it's going to take 4 setups to run one game at a local. This game will be a pain in the ass to port around and convince people to try.

I want more Gundam VS games to hit consoles, and they want to be esports with this game, but it's going to be damn difficult when the online portion lacks a bunch of features. Shit, there isn't even LAN.

SOME of this stuff might change. Some might get corrected since they plan to keep the game patched. That's nice. But it'd be nicer to have a meaty online game right out of the gate if they wanna run that route.
