People port begging MH on PS4, they fail to realize that MH is more successful on portables than on consoles. Sure, the PS4 might get a mainline port/version (just like the Wii/WiiU got one), but the focus will always be a portable version and right now the Switch is the future in that regard.

MH is Niche it will sell well to its user base on any platform, but will it grow much if you put it on the PS4 vs only being on the 3DS or Switch.

Just had a look through the thread, and I don't see this wide spread PS4 port begging that you and the post you quoted suggest. I just see people speculating that MH will turn up on PS4 in some shape or form as well. Not exactly that much of a stretch. Also find it kind of rich that Switch fans are complaining about port begging, but I digress. Let's just enjoy this announcement and sleep well in the knowledge that actually, Capcom is (obviously) making more games for Switch.

Well Capcom keeps teasing a Monster Hunter with photo realistic visuals. They've been teasing a monster hunter that begs for it to be on PC though the PS4 is the more realistic path they would take.

If MH XX sells terribly I can see MH 5 being Switch/Ps4 multi plat.

If I had to guess, this will launch this holiday in Japan and early spring in the west, as I think that Nintendo will want to give Monster Hunter Stories some time to itself this fall. Nintendo probably doesn't have the ad dollars to spare to Capcom for a western release this year, either.
