Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 is coming to PS4, Xbox One, and PC this August!

I could understand the uproar if someone ask in a AAA western dev title where the Switch version is. But in this case its a legit question...why is Capcom skipping Nintendo plattforms for there Collections ? Disney Afternoon Collection not being on 3DS also seemed weird.

Maybe this has something to do with the impact of potential VC income/titles...but then again the first MM Collection was on 3DS.

Ask Capcom. How is anyone on GAF gonna deliver an answer to your question?

Of course this topic being dominated by stupid switch port discussion again...

ANYWAYS, I'm excited. We are getting that much closer to the x games which I love.

Do these games have pro support?

I hope Mega Man 8 is based on the Saturn version and has an optional JP VA option. I prefer the English VA but it'd still be neat to have a complete version of 8 that's easily accessible.

No Mega Man and Bass is a huge headscrather and makes me not want to buy this >_<

Feels like an incomplete package even if that's unfair

Perhaps we'll get 1-10 ported over to the Switch some time in the future. I'd like to see it on Switch myself, but I'll get it for PC in the meantime. Both legacy collections ought to be able to run on a toaster so if you're worried about portability then play it on your laptop or something.

Why the Xbox One version then?

This can't be serious. 30 million(ish) Xbox Ones out there and you think that's not substantial enough to warrant a release?

I guess it's a good time to get the first one.

Anyone know if it has save state feature similar to sega genesis collection on steam or am I gonna rage a lot in the game 😂

I'm struggling to find Digital Eclipses name tied to this?? If they are not it's going to really hurt the package around it... That first one (and Disney Afternoon) was SO great because of DE.

This is such a missed opportunity. 4 Games??

I'm glad 9 and 10 are there, but I can bet this will not be the Sega Saturn version of MM8 with the bonus content.

In addition, what about the Gameboy Games?
What about Mega Man and Bass (SNES)?
What about Wily Wars?
What about the Game Gear game?
Mega Man Powered Up?
Mega Man Soccer? Mega Man Battle and Chase? Rockman and Forte 2? The Arcade games? MM x SF?

Expecting all of the above is unrealistic, obviously, but it would be nice to have more than 4 games, yikes.

Capcoms decision making re: switch is now bordering on ludicrous and hard to understand. Something like this can't be too much work to get on Switch and surely would sell well.

Edit - Not port begging, just pointing out on observation

Agreed. Pretty ridiculous. Didn't the 3DS version of the 1st collection sell the best?

A little surprised it's only four games, I thought they might flesh it out with something like Power Battles or And Forte.

Sounds good, still need to get through 3-6 in the first collection and three more games in the Disney Afternoon one.

Why would they do with Pro Support? These are based on ancient hardware. 4k you mean?

Given Digital Eclipse didn't exactly make the most stellar NES emulator, I am a little worried about them tackling both SNES for 7 and PSX (or Saturn?) for 8, as well as porting (presumably?) 9 and 10 natively. But I look forward to maybe being surprised.

Edit: DE aren't involved!

I'm gonna guess Capcom wasn't going to be able to have the Switch version ready without having to delay the other platforms. And with Nintendo's policy of turning away quality ports unless they offer something exclusive we have the situation we are in now.

Luckily there's a simple solution. Buy a non-nintendo platform.

A more worthwhile discussion is what's up with the exclusion of Mega Man and Bass??

Just got the first one on sale. I'd have preferred an X collection but might look into this one later after I've had my time with vol. 1.

Yes, Megaman 9 is the best in the series and deserves to be ported to everything. I can only hope Capcom keep diving into the barrel until they hit the Battle Network games.

Is the same dev who ported MM Collection 1 and Disney Afternoon working on this as well?

It should be.

And those 2 games still have a lot of the same issues, i.e. sound issues and input lag. Hell, even the title screen of Rescue Rangers 2 has screen flickering in 1 spot to the music.

Mega Man and Bass would have been nice. Power Up would have been great. MM Soccer would have been awesome.

The rest are meh at best.

Lol at extra armor mode. Get gud foos.

Didn't realize this doesn't have MegaMan and Bass until I read the post above. Garbage. Forte/Bass is fun as fuck in that game. Double jumping and a machine gun, he was Shadow before Shadow.

Besides the fact that no Switch version is completely non-sensical I don't understand why they'd leave out Mega Man and Bass. They already have the SNES emulator programmed for Mega Man 7. Just why? Is it because only the GBA version was released here? How hard would it be to stick the GBA translation into a SNES rom?

I think so. I remember people getting mad about a recent capcom compilation having a code for megaman.

Cheers. It has been a while since they came out. I know Capcom did some collections of a few of their digital games last gen but I couldn't remember what games were included, or if they were even on disc rather than being codes.

I already have all the original Megaman games + 9 and 10 from Wiiware so I might not get this right away, but the thought of having those two games physically at last is pretty good.

Digital Eclipse is not involved with MMLC2 https://twitter.com/frankcifaldi/status/871747103738941440

Ugh.

Is this bad? Never played the first Legacy Collection so I wasn't sure what the consensus was for the port quality.
