I've always thought they'd go with $499, they've constantly talked about it being a premium product... and other Microsoft premium products are not cheap. $499 is just a really tough sell for gaming hardware though, especially when your main competitor is $100 lower than you. That did not work well for them just a few years ago so to try that route again is crazy.

To stay positive, ill say the former and it'll actually be announced at $399. Or maybe in the middle at $449.

That's what i'm expecting. Geoff never leaks anything really. So just coming out and saying the Scorpio price is rather interesting. Does help the conference if it is a ruse. Since if they announce $399 a lot more people become positive.

I think Microsoft leaked this on purpose to be honest. So the $399 price is a bigger mic drop moment.

No way after all those leaks they're gonna be $499. Why would they tease those images then? Who would buy a mid gen refresh for $499 man.

Yeah, I don't believe this anymore. Geoff has relationships with all the major publishers that he's not going to willingly damage and I'm fairly certain he's never leaked anything in the past. This is very likely a controlled leak in conjunction with MS.

For the specs and upgrade though, MS would be fine saying $499 because its not really a tiny upgrade, and $399 doesn't sound like the top of the line/premium price point. That'd be more $500+, imo.
