Shouldn't MS be a bit more humble? They don't exactly have the best reputation in the industry at the moment, they are the underdogs, kinda weird they are very cocky.

you guys are too stiff, i find it funny makes me remember the old day specially with sony sega and nintendo why they would advertise such corny stuff which was pretty funny

They do that every year and every time one of the games gets cancelled.

Happened with both Fable Legends and Scalebound.

It wouldn't surprise me if they're going the "most powerful console ever" advertising route with this. So many "console war" threads devolve into "but ___ is so much more powerful!"

My hope is that this backfires, and people can see that power in a console isn't everything. That this defense actually comes off as silly in the future because they called THEMSELVES "the most powerful".

Kind of like when your mom starts saying words like "hip" and "cool" and suddenly kids aren't describing things that way anymore.

They are really terrible at this.
I was just reading in the Console Wars book about "make your brain sweat" and other stupid marketing blunders back in the day.
This is easily on the same level. They just don't learn...

Everything about Microsoft's messaging heading into this feels off. I really hope the substance of what they have to show is impressive, because the general vibe they're wrapping it all in is not.

Stop trying to sell it like this. The PS4 Pro and the PS4 were the most powerful consoles before. Describe how much of a leap it is, just saying it's the most powerful means nothing.
