If you play Overwatch alone or you play quickplay a lot, you've probably seen messages like:
"It's quickplay" "I don't care, I just want to have fun" "Go play competitive"
Quickplay is a mode in overwatch that's designed for exactly that, a quick match, when you don't really feel like playing competitive or other modes. The problem with this mode is that a lot of people I have seen are often not very collaborative or they completely miss the point or objective to have "fun"
Yeah, well, when I play I like to win and have a fun time, when someone of this mentality shows up I just shrug and accept that probably I won't have any fun, I will be frustrated and I will have to face a Defeat even when I was doing my role correctly.
"If you want to win, go play competitive" It's not always that easy, I do like to play comp, but when I'm with my team or my friends. When I'm alone I don't feel like doing poorly and ruining others' placement matches.
"It's quickplay, the objective is to train" Not really, you have the tutorial, the practice range and the vs. AI for training, even you can do custom matches with specific rules to play and train.
"I just want to have fun" Well, we all want to have fun, but why do I have to stick with a bad teammate?
If you report them, I don't really know what happens, I have never seen a banner user or something like that by poor teamwork (one of the many report issues) if you leave the match you will have warnings for leaving the match and, eventually, you will have a penalty of even up to 12 matches with your exp. points reduced to -75% so;
If you complain about poor teamwork in chat and ask them to exchange roles or even do them yourself, you will, probably, get a "it's qp"
If you report, nothing really happens and you will still be stuck with a bad team
If you leave you will be punished even if your objective was to have fun like the rest, have fun and win some matches.
After a terrible week in Overwatch, I struggle to play because I know I eventually will get shit for one way or another if it's not the chat it will the teammates itself.
My question GAF is, what's your opinion on the matter? How you face QP and how you recommend me to have more fun with the game?
Edit: Let's be clear, I do have fun even if I lose, but not when there's shitty stuff/players in the team. It's okay to lose if we all have fun and put our best efforts in the match
