I liked how they seemed so proud to say how they're going to ship more than 2.3 million units since they shipped 2.3 million NES classics worldwide.

That shit is still under 1 million units per region. Still grossly underestimated.
Watch it be 2.4 million units or something.

Have you replayed it recently? I have. It's still a great game. It deserves attention and love.

Oh yeeee aahhh! It's on my yearly list. I can't bear play my OG cart though. It remains locked away in ye vault of cardboard and plastic dust jackets. I'm scared that someone will notice it needs to be remade one day and then all hell will break lose and we'll have a million clones that just don't have that same magic. I guess I'm just being an old fartman about it.What do I know? Maybe someone could do it justice.

prices are announced they shouldn't need a placeholder

Swedish price hasn't been announced. And there's also no "price fixing" here like in the US. Nintendo (or their distributor, rather) just sets a recommended price, and then retailers can set it to whatever they want. So that's why they put the preorder up at a price that's much higher than it's gonna end up being. Then your preorder gets adjusted to the final price. But it's probably gonna be around 1000 SEK ($115).

Just that people hate scalpers, so any retailer that sells above MSRP (aka Gamestop) is considered to be price gouging.

I don't remember when or why I started clicking F5. Somewhere in the middle I lost core memories; like Sisyphus I am bound to hell and must continue clicking F5. I don't know what will happen if i never find what my heart desires, or worse; when I do find it.

For now, all I have is F5. Its the only thing that keeps me going. The odd sensation of white flashing before my eyes as the page reloads is all i have left. I think the white light grows longer with each click. The void calls to me, seek the white light...

Well you did it Nintendo, you broke GAF.

Don't all retailers always price consoles, games, etc, exactly at the MSRP? That's not how it is here. A game might cost 550 SEK in one place and 650 SEK in another.

i went into my local suburban (australian) EB games today to preorder the SNES classic + AC adaptor (the last thing i preordered was MGS2 on the PS2). the dude in front of me was preordering, as was the dude behind me. there was a poster saying 'strictly 1 console per customer' but i dunno how strict they are. can't wait.

No. They'll compete with each other and there are always some that price under MSRP.

You will occasionally find some that go over MSRP, but they get pretty nasty backlash from consumers as pricing over MSRP is seen as "ripping off" consumers.

They didn't fix anything, they just decided Japan Super Famicom design was superior as any sane person would

But it was the same and the Super Famicom which was released 2 years earlier, so they went back. :p

I actually always thought the Japanese design was the same as the US. So clearly Nintendo realised their awful mistake and changed their minds.

Nintendo makes some of the best games ever made. Everything around those is and will always be fucking trash. Their management manages to make everything a fucking ordeal. It's amazing that they can't reach even the most basic corporate competence like announcing when something will be available or setting up pre-orders.

Even though they make great games, it's hard not to root against Nintendo when they go out of their way to make things as unpleasant for their customers as possible.

Well now it can go up at anytime
Refresh until its release date 0_o

NoA can kiss my ass, it's funny that they think we don't know what happens over seas

Preordered from three stores now. I ought to get one of these come release, so I can play some StarFox 2. And as Nintendo said, they will manufacture more than the NES Classic.

Any reason that the controllers shouldn't be compatible across regions? Thankfully we're getting the proper colours here in Europe but I wouldn't mind swapping my 2nd controller with someone who wanted it?

Maturity, bitches.
Missed your chance.

UK orders were a half-day ago and are already long since sold out.
Three UK shops. Not even Nintendo's own store has put them up yet.

We're a small island, but not that small.

So for anyone waiting for UK preorders, no, you haven't missed your chance. Ignore the people above me.

Frankly I'm surprised they're only asking $80 for it. They could easily do $100, probably more.

Is this using NAND memory? I thought one of the reasons they killed the NES classic was to get more components for the Switch, but maybe not.

Fuck Chino XL, Fuck Nintendo as a developer, publisher, and killer of dreams.

Why you disrespecting one of the greatest lyricists in the game

Fuck, I'm barely just now finding out about this.

Is there any hope for me preordering a euro one? Will a euro one work in the US?

Do I have a better chance of getting a US one?

I'm in America but I just prefer the non American version of the hardware.
