Good luck and let me know if you encounter issues redeeming the key.
Now updated with MULTIENTRY and Autorepost, but please note that there is very likely to be a 1 hour difference.

Thanks for this, Tizoc. So many great games...

JaseC

gave away the keys to the kingdom.
so how does gifting on steam work now with the price difference/location stuff...

- If the game is >10% cheaper in your region, it can't be gifted
- If the game isn't available in the recipient's region, it can be gifted unless the package is set up to be purchasable only in select countries or non-purchasable in theirs

Gah... I've been away for so long, so many new faces and not enough confidence for me to start posting again...

My bi-monthly "I miss you SteamGAF" post.

FFXIV has so much grinding and I hate it. Up to level 42 and every one since 35 I've been super underleveled for the next level's story missions and have had to grind dungeons and fates for up to an hour. Just want to experience the story and it's a huge reason in why I've stayed away from the genre.

Ehh, what did you buy? What are you playing?

I bought Doom, all 53 megs of it. It's all JP LeBreton tweets about so it was in my mind enough to check it, and its mods out.

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.

That's the reason I dropped the game at around the point you're at now. Honestly in hindsight I probably should have just stuck with the free demo that lets you go up to level 35 because really it stopped being fun after that. And when you get to "the end of the demo", you could just take up a new profession or something if you want to stay active.

Aragami, Dead Cells, Gangbeats and Domina - I've been after a Tenchu fix so Aragami somewhat scratches it for me and the other three were impulse purchases... Domina is fun though! As is Dead Cells.

And Doom is incredible.

So I actually started to play some of my games and finally over the bored of everything issue I had.

Except not playing anything I bought recently.

I was bored so I installed Deadly Tower of Monsters which I got in that Humble last month and it isnt bad so far. It is a bit repetitive and the camera is clunky but I am enjoying it. The writing is quite funny as you are playing out a movie and this director is doing commentary about what is happening in the story/filming. When you screw up or a new bad guy comes on screen he makes up a story of what happened that day while filming or a backstory about the actor that played one of the bosses.

The game play is very straightforward as you progress up this tower in linear fashion but you keep getting new upgrades and weapons which keeps it fresh. I think I will stick with it for now.

Ah damn it, why did I have to look into the "What game do you regret buying" thread? I was looking forward to play MGSV this weekend (it's one of the few games I got during the sale) but since a bunch of people seemed to regret buying this game due to its "pacing issues" and "repetitive mission design" I'm inclined to just ask for a refund instead. Maybe I'm overreacting but if there is anything to these complaints, then I probably wont enjoy the game that much.

NO DON'T
The gameplay is sublime and the few story moments that are there are great.
It was my GOTY the year it came out. I'm not even a fan of open world but I had a lot of fun playing MGSV.

I'm one of those people, they're 100% true.
If you just enjoy pure stealth gameplay it's a game for you.

Yooooooooo
Just got back from watching Spiderman Homecoming and overall it's my FAVOURITE MCU movie. Spidey's character is captured, more or less, perfectly.
The one thing I didn't like however, and it's an odd thing to dislike I know, but I didn't like it anyways, it was
the profanity; they really should've toned down on profanity a bit but at least kept THAT one scene later on

...but nah seriously it's a fun movie, good laughs and neat action scenes. I do have a few gripes about it, it ain't perfect, but it was a fun romp.

Oh and
Vulture
is officially my favourite MCU villain, I had no idea he was portrayed by
Michael Keaton
, as I avoided as much footage of the movie as possible XD

My 'game that I regret buying' is Micro Machines World Series, it doesn't have much modes and is apparently a weaker product than Toybox Turbos, which is gutting me because WS has BRIAN BLESSED as the narrator.
HOW THE HELL DO YOU GET BRIAN BLESSED AND STILL MESS IT UP?!!?

Servizio

I don't really need a tag, but I figured I'd get one to make people jealous. Is it working?

I loved MGSV, but I also really dig the gameplay loop of "Alright, now try doing this same mission in a completely different way."

If you're looking for the purely linear narrative/cinematic heavy Metal Gear, you're definitely gonna find it lacking though.

Yeah, MGSV has issues for sure and the story is honestly insultingly bad but the gameplay is just so insanely fantastic that it's still a 10/10.

Great giveaways Tizoc and fuzaco! :D

Btw IdleMaster is not working anymore? It's just showing the word Idling on the window but not showing any other image (the game is idling for example) and no cards were dropped in the last several hours :|

That was the trick, it's how they figured out who to ban.

Like the others said, don't give up on it because of them. It's true it can feel "repetitive", but I feel this is more with how someone choose to play the game. It's a game of multiple options, styles, tricks, tools, and reactions by AI. By messing around and attempting to use every item in game at least once (even the water squirt gun), it never felt repetitive to me.

Have you updated recently? Try re-downloading from the site and copy/pasting that version over you existing one.

Also you can try to delete the IdleMaster folder from C:\Users\[your username]\AppData\Local\IdleMaster

Nuuvem has a 20% off coupon "SORRYGABE" applied at checkout.

For those that missed out on a great price for Dead Cells (raises hand) and also to get certain games cheaper. For example, Sonic Mania comes out to be $13.60 after coupon.

Sounds better than this 5 minute commercial for it I just played. You spend a couple minutes calibrating your webs, you see the villain from about 50 feet away and then you swing away without any control over it. vr pls

Yeah totally, this and the ILM Star Wars "experience" are such teases. About a minute after you get something cool (web shooting, lightsaber) it's over.

A few hundred thousand sounds pretty optimistic.
How so? I was talking about lifetime sales. Every Ys game on Steam, except Ark of Napishtim, has sold over 100K so far. Some of them are years old, sure, but considering the ports couldn't have cost them too much (since most of them were already translated for the PSP versions and you had an old Japanese PC version to back to), that's still profitable.

Additionally, Memory of Calceta and Seven are newer games that look like games from this decade. More modern 3D graphics alone should give them a slight boost. People are shallow like that.

Thanks for your help guys, I guess I'll give MGSV a try after all.

I loved MGSV, but I also really dig the gameplay loop of "Alright, now try doing this same mission in a completely different way."

Does the game ask you to take a different approach or is this just something you are free to do? I usually need the game to challenge me to take a different approach because otherwise I will try to optimize the approach that works best for me without changing it up too much. So in this kind of game I would have to force myself to not always take the stealthy approach.

I'm sorry but thanks for the laugh. I've done my mistakes when buying keys but this is on another level.

Yeah, I clicked on the provided link from ES and then didn't pay attention. I saw a picture and it looked similar in style to the other game so it didn't occur to me in my sleep deprived state that maybe I should read the game's page.

Oh well, at least it was only a few dollars.

Well, I did something stupid once by mistake.
I was playing Tales of Zestiria and had CheatEngine opened.
Closed game and opened an MMO forgetting about CE (whoops)

Thankfully the MMO just closed itself saying it detected a cheating software and that was that.

If it was a VAC game, I guess I would have been banned (?)

Nah, it would just do the same thing, kick you out of the VAC-server (VAC authentication error).

I wasn't a big fan of MGSV personally, found it too repetitive in the end. I enjoyed Ground Zeroes more despite its smaller scope.

I thought Phantom Pain was better simply due to being more than just a glorified demo, but I kinda get what you mean. Going open-world was a mistake and the best parts of TPP were by far the ones set in enclosed areas that allowed for actual level design, similar to the camp in GZ.

Playing Dark Souls 2 sins and pretty far. Some of the small mechanics really ruin the game, like soul memory and being invaded regardless if you're human or not.

I die a lot, people die a lot..so soul memory kind screws yea over if you do die a lot. Thankfully I haven't.

That is until I discovered Belfry Luna. Walk through door and get invaded immediately by two dudes. Now I don't care for souls pvp (its sucks and the netcode sucks - even if they are in the same country) because before in the other games we fight and I die (or they do) and so be it. Not human/not embered anymore that is fine (as the item is actually farmable).

But in DS2 your soul memory remembers regardless lol. Now you be like w/e and continued not in human and not worry but nope still get invaded lol.

Is there a program I can use to isolate DS2 from the internet? I am doing too much on the side to just D/C.

Thank you! So damn quick lol

Hmm.. I have it installed, inputted my profile name and API key (which I just registered/made), and it doesn't appear to be doing anything so far. I've restarted chrome and such. Do I just need to wait a while for it to update with my games?

Hmm, I just installed it and it began working immediately. My API key was generated yonks ago, though. Maybe there's a delay between the generation of the key and when it can be used to request data.

Edit: Are you sure you put the correct username in? It needs your custom URL name, not your Steam Community name (e.g. GrrImAFridge rather than JaseC, in my case).

I've read that starting steam in offline mode will do the same for DS2 when you launch it, haven't tested it myself.

If that doesn't work and you can tolerate a few seconds without internet, you could turn it off when it's checking connectivity, turn it back on afterwards and that way you can play the game offline.

Keep in mind that the belfries are pvp zones mostly, outside of that their content is very small.

I wouldn't worry too much about steam tags. I always thought that steam tags were a big chaotic when I started to see jokes tags applied to certain games.

Like for example. I search for RPGs games and see what I get as result:

https://steamdb.info/instantsearch/...0&dFR[appType][0]=Game&fR[tags][0]=RPG&is_v=1

- Euro Truck Sim 2 (RPG).

That's something I hope Valve fixes in the near future. Tagging and filtering are mostly the most inconvenience features I can find on steam.

Also, as a side note

6lTBGcV.png

It must be an error, right?

To be fair, there are some genuine RPG elements to Euro Truck Sim 2. Each delivery is basically a quest that gives you XP and money. You level up your driver and unlock perks such as the ability to carry dangerous/fragile/valuable goods, longer haul contracts etc. you manage your fatigue levels. You grind for cash to upgrade your trucks, garages, build a company, hire drivers, expand your company to other cities etc.

Fun game, especially if you have a wheel and gear shifter.
