With Warren Ellis writing.

Its a good thing its only 4 episodes because he doesnt write more than 6 issues of a comic book at a time >_>

Wait that doesn't bode well for S2 which will be 8 episodes :(

Wow, I've actually been playing games I bought during the sale!

Standard Telltale fare, maybe a little more area exploration than recent efforts. Performs fine, nothing like Batman. Below TWaU and TotB but well ahead of GoT. Probably let down by the performances, the guy playing Peter is average at best maybe worse than that, Groot is completely underutilised and Gamora is just boring, the rest are great.

Seems to take place in an alternate universe independent of the movies, people who should know each other don't etc... The story is quite decent, mostly about the various relationships between the crew and others.

Strategic 4x Zombie apocalypse simulator. Take over parts of a city, exploit the squares resources expand etc... standard stuff. You research better defences, better production.

When attacking new blocks the game becomes a "twin stick" style clicky shooter where you have to fend off the hoard of zombies hopefully with multiple companions, very easy to get overwhelmed. When the zombies attack you your defences come into play and it becomes a fine balance between the amount of defences you can produce versus the amount of territory you are trying to defend as as the zombie hoard expands things can go very wrong very quickly.

I'm not gonna lie, I'm a little salty at the sudden Hollow fawning, when months ago me and nabs were saying that shit was the best in the genre since Symphony of the Night and everyone was basically "Sure Jan"ing us and going "but but Ori lol"

Well, I bought it just because of how you two hyped it then haha

not just how it looks but the whole i'm a generic videogame white dude protagonist and gotta kill some army dudes to save my girlfriend thing is just really lame haha

the game looked like it was going somewhere kind of interesting when i dropped it so maybe i missed out, but it didn't have any like immediate appeal for me

To be fair he wrote Transmetropolitan which was 60 issues long. But then again that was a long time ago.

I'm really enjoying shadow complex remastered, nice little metroidvania.

Humble monthly is today, right? wonder how it will be after the steam sale.
Nah humble monthly is mext week
If only they'd add a timer to their website so one could be know when these monthly bundles end.

That timer says it's in 9 hours though. :p

Anyway I'm looking forward to the Monthly. I already got my value out of Dark Souls 2 alone, but comparing it to previous highlight games it wasn't really good, so I hope there are some highlights in the unlocks.

Also, where's my Cold Steel release date.

Yeah, but if I check their website I'll be tempted to buy it, no thanks.

I was super tempted at first by the humble monthly, but the more months that go by without me being particularly bothered by the selection of games on offer the more I realise I'd be better off just saving the money and waiting for a sale on the games I do enjoy.

My modus operandi is basically this: Do I want to play the highlight game right now for the monthly price? If yes, buy and everything else is a nice extra. If not, don't buy.

I fucked up and bought this piece of shit without checking if i already own it or not. Game was removed from store because of fake reviews, so it won't give you +1.

I've found the Humble Monthly to be the best deal in gaming personally. Nowhere else can you get number of notable games for that kind of price.

Making the jump to 4K and HDR display soon, and I just realized I may have to upgrade to Win10 now because of its native HDR support. Well, shit.

Can a kind soul please point me to a good guide on thoroughly cleaning out all the telemetry and spyware BS from that turd OS?

So are you guys ready to get pumped tonight?

I shit on my friends almost daily already...

This game never seemed very appealing and I stopped following the gamepump twitter after he started talking about it. Good luck to Bowling I guess.

To be fair, there are some genuine RPG elements to Euro Truck Sim 2. Each delivery is basically a quest that gives you XP and money. You level up your driver and unlock perks such as the ability to carry dangerous/fragile/valuable goods, longer haul contracts etc. you manage your fatigue levels. You grind for cash to upgrade your trucks, garages, build a company, hire drivers, expand your company to other cities etc.

Fun game, especially if you have a wheel and gear shifter.

I'm sorry I didn't mean that Euro Truck 2 had 0 RPG elements, but the fact that those elements are very subtle. I consider it a very good game and I have much respect for the team behind it (but-duck dev specially).

So yea, I agree with you on your thoughts, just pointed out a funny example as how tagging is a mess right now.
How to fix it? It's hard to be honest. You can't deny users to add custom tags and at the same you can't only rely on tags applied by devs.
Maybe using a weighted arithmetic tagging system?

How accurate would you says the Steam playtime counter is?

I feel like whenever I play a game that records playtime in game, it's always off from the overall Steam count, even when you count for things like start up and time in pre game menus etc

About ARK's recently price hike, well....

I still find new price really crazy. It was an early unlock on a Humble Monthly Bundle ($12)

Btw, I've played through the first chapter of the Leon campaign in RE6.

First impressions: terrible horror game, fun 3rd person melee brawler, although I'm not sure yet if I like the arena-style 'here's lots of zombies you need to fend off' parts.

Considering the action approach they're taking with RE in those games, one really needs to let go of it being a horror game and approach them as action games as you say. Capcom have a history of releasing good action games mind you.

What I find hilarious is that they're charging $60 for a shitty game + $20 DLC - all for an Early Access game. Game was never that great to begin with, but the concept was new(ish) so I definitely enjoyed it for the first few weeks.

After that you see the devs aren't doing shit about fixing bugs, they're just happy they hit a money jackpot and are milking it for all its worth.

I'm not gonna lie, I'm a little salty at the sudden Hollow fawning, when months ago me and nabs were saying that shit was the best in the genre since Symphony of the Night and everyone was basically "Sure Jan"ing us and going "but but Ori lol"

Z0Kgl_s-200x150.gif
Ori has better flow of movent, it's a joy to control. Hollow Knight is less analog, more restricted to up down left right in terms of attack and movement. And I personally prefer the music and art style of Ori.

Maybe Hollow Knight would impress me later on the game. I'm about to fight the mantis lords.

The contextual melee moves are some awesome shit.
Like how when a zombie is on the ground you crush its head under your feet if you're positioned right and otherwise just step on its body and deal some damage.
The most efficient playstyle so far seems to be to shoot them once in the head and use the stagger window to finish them off with a melee attack.

Fuck Yeah! That's my drink baby! You turned out to not be so bad. I'd say you're 75% toward getting into my pants tonight, especially considering what a dick my boyfriend is being and that you already saw my tits
Anyone played steam's first full porn game House Party?
