I don't know why they bothered bringing up that the doggies couldn't be sensed if they weren't going to do anything with it.

They kind of did. It's the only reason they were able to box in Goku the way they did. I do think it was a weird aspect they didn't do enough with though.

Could say the same thing about 100x Taiyoken...

Now that really bugged me. It would've made more sense if they blinded Majora with it and then he switched to scent as a counter, instead of just making the move worthless right off the bat. Majora's eyes are even open in the intro!

Aren't Makaioshin and Makaio a rare subspecies of Shinjin who are born evil instead of good, and then condemned to the demon realm? It's a prison, so the other gods having (nominal) authority over it is fine. We should have 12 demon realms, so there's plenty of room for a powerful Makaio to go unchecked.

These kinds of episodes feel really slow and coming off the hype of last weeks ep it's a bit annoying.

Also all that waiting for him to use x100 solar flair for it to do nothing, and he used it while standing still and not in the middle of a combo or something, really bad.

Can Goku and friends sense the energy of people from other universes? They couldn't do it with Universe 9. Seems like Krillin couldn't sense Frost in the last episode. But at the same time, I remember them sensing the energy of Universe 6.

That reminds me, I hated those close up shots of the U9 Kaioshin 2 eps ago. They were well drawn and detailed but just the style there was just annoying. And I know that god is annoying anyway so you could say it's fitting but still.

The episode which introduced Taiyoken x 100 (King Ryuu) wasn't written by the writer of this episode (Toshio Yoshitaka). It seems like whoever supervises and unifies Super's scripts (Toei basically hides that position by omitting the series composition credit) is really lax with making the writers actually work together.

Yeah I'm glad the show moved on from that.

This arc focusing less on Goku has peeked a lot of people's interest who gave up on Super. It seems like that anyway.

Seeing the banner with all the U7 members certainly convinced me to start watching the show.

Or Dragon Ball, the "Goku has a riva..oh, he blew past him in the next arc" show.
Or Dragon Ball GT, often called "Goku Time".

I'm not sure how people who hate Goku like Dragon Ball. It always has been and always will be The Goku Show.

, it's just that we enjoy other characters having their moments or relevancy to the story. DBZ did it excellent imo, they always found ways to stop Goku from showing up (being dead, travelling to Namek, recovering, being sick, in the Time Chamber) which gave the opportunity for other characters to show up and deal with threats, and then have Goku show up and defeat whatever the major thing is at the moment, having both sides happy.

I get this feeling that when a character gets a spotlight episode unless their name is Goku, Vegeta or Gohan that's when they'll go.

There's the two shadowy fighters and the pig man too though. The two shadowy fighters aren't even in the ending, so I don't think the U6 team is getting eliminated soon.

I just wish they didn't have Krillin lose via the one thing he definitely had going for him vs Goku, directly even, and that the show has gone out of their way time and again across point after point to beat Goku and the audience over the head with it---AND he still continues to despite each and every instance in turn.

Like, have the other fighter pull something ridiculous like a light-absorbing technique to reflect back at him doubled over again...just not forced overconfidence.

Ahh true, I forgot about them. So Vegeta isn't out at least until he fights the U2 girls while Tenshinhan is also safe until he does something related to the U4's two 'missing' members, so they're both ok next episode.

I've seen a few people voice a bit of concern based off of a bit of wonky art in the NEP.
Episode 100 is a Yashima episode, he generally animates episodes almost entirely by himself, so that's the reason. All things considered a lot of the NEP actually looks pretty good for Yashima, and with most of his episodes a lot of his work will end up corrected by others anyways. It's an even numbered episode, so Tsuji will probably correct half of the episode herself, just like she did with Yashima's episode 84.
The week after is Manabe, which should be great.
