I mean I wasn't even an early adopter of PS4 but I could see value in playing better versions of AC4 or Battlefield. In those cases sports games were out earlier in the system's life than on Switch as well if I recall correctly.I was under the impression everyone got PS4 to play resogun.
Wow, there must be quite a few copies of ARMS sitting on store shelves if these are shipped figures.
My Switch list for the remainder of the year, among known titles, includes:
- Sonic Mania
- Mario + Rabbids
- Stardew Valley
- Rocket League
- Pokken Tournament DX
- Super Mario Odyssey
- Xenoblade Chronicles 2
Open to Fire Emblem Warriors and Skyrim, but not yet sold. Also open to more indies.
Unless stated otherwise, assume the figures are shipped...Wait:
So with Digital 230,000 for arms in Japan?
By the end of June Media Create has ARMS retail at:
02./01. [NSW] Arms <FTG> (Nintendo) {2017.06.16} (¥5.980) - 19.307 / 148.707 (-33%)
90,000 digital Copies!??
edit
oh but, Famitsu had ARMS at:
02./01. [NSW] Arms <FTG> (Nintendo) {2017.06.16} (¥5.980) - 16.618 / 171.463 <80-100%> (-49%)
And they include download cards right?
This will be a great post to come back to in the future.
Man. Spring Man is boring.
Give me another Arms fighter for Smash. A female for diversity. Or Helix
Skyrim is the biggest 3rd party game this whole year, time to think a bit harder about why Nintendo published games are taking up the majority of sales. The makeup of the Switch user base is vastly different than previous Nintendo console owners, so as 3rd parties start to release their games on the platform, you will start to see 3rd party sales percentage rise.
You also have for the first time ever, a real reason to buy that 3rd party multiplat on the Nintendo platform over Microsoft's or Sony's and that is baked into the concept of the device. (play anywhere functionality) Personally as a PC gamer, Switch interests me in ways that no Nintendo device has ever interested me before, and I can see myself getting big AAA games on the Switch, publishers only have to be brave enough to port their games.

Ah yeah, Spring Man is coming to Smash Bros.
How many more million sellers are expected to ship this year?
Splatoon 2 (already over a million as far as I'm concerned)
Mario + Rabbids
Super Mario Odyssey
Pokken Tournament DX
are Fire Emblem Warriors and Xenoblade 2 expected to be million sellers?
Unless stated otherwise, assume the figures are shipped...
It's gonna be Spring Man and Ribbon Girl, so riots will be happening, haha.I think there'd be riots if it wasn't Twintelle over that generic guy.

I don't understand how ARMS has sold that much given the figures we know.
For June NPD it sold about 250k including digital.
Japan physical was around 150k last time I checked?
UK it sold less than 15k in June. France it debuted at number 1 but quickly slipped below Zelda and MK8. Germany it didn't set the charts alight.
Where are all these extra copies coming from to get over a million in two weeks?

Yep, and I'm cool with that. Spring Man is iconic timeless design, stong and simple. And Ribbon Girl is my waifu. Both will be plenty unique on the Smash roster. It's gonna be Spring Man and Ribbon Girl, so riots will be happening, haha.

I know the games library is, shall we say 'focused' at the moment, but those attach rates are insane. To be fair its because Nintendo created a great console with even better games!
Now just waiting for my virtual console.
I cannot wait to see Odyssey's numbers when it comes out in October and during the holiday season.
Yeah, I actually love Spring Man's design. Really, there's not a single character I hate the look of from that game.Yep, and I'm cool with that. Spring Man is iconic timeless design, stong and simple. And Ribbon Girl is my waifu. Both will be plenty unique on the Smash roster.
If we're including Wii U SKUs, BOTW is not going to come out ahead...
The success of Zelda is a wonderful thing.
The success of Mario Kart is a depressing thing.
It will do great in the West. Not so sure about Japan though.
Kirby with Spring Man's steely blue pompadour is going to be amazingYeah, I actually love Spring Man's design. Really, there's not a single character I hate the look of from that game.

Japan loves Mario (more 2D than 3D, but they still love him nonetheless).
Why? More ports incoming you think?
Both numbers are great and both consoles had supply constraints.
4.7 million is pretty good, although I wonder how many of those where in the first month. Be nice to see a graph over the 4 months since release, or a comparison with some other consoles.

2.76 million, meaning they sold 1.96 million Switches over the last three months.
Basically, if Nintendo wants to hit its 10 million target for this year, they need to up production.
