Bran: "Sansa, do you have any tree sap? This is all I can drink now."
Sansa: "I don't think..."
Bran: "Do I need to ask a second time? I hate...asking a second time."

*Sansa runs away again*

He was talking to Benjen and Meera just fine afterwards though.

That's where they fucked up in the show, they should have shown Bran entering castle black last season. At least then we could have assumed months have passed between getting there and arriving in Winterfell.

Well they originally wanted to do a 10 episode final season 7. So I assume we got a lot of the added stuff upfront. Now that we're on the last 10 tomorrow I think stuff is gonna move along at a faster pace.
I think you're right.
Exactly, now, but back then to assume Jon was a final 2 and Ned was done for by seasons end, no way.
i don't mean this in a rude way, but i'm afraid i don't know what your point is, sir.

Not rude it's my fault, I wasn't very clear but it's also because I didn't read the beginning of the conversation and assumed that soudscream was talking about knowing that Jon was an end game character and that Ned wasn't based off of the first few episodes alone.

Based on the first three episodes, it seems like they filmed a lot of set pieces and sparse, abrupt dialogue and cobbled it together. They could only get 7 coherent episodes out of it, so they cut it down.

Oh I see. He and I were basically talking about throughout the show especially in the beginning how certain hints and clues were put that are meant to be picked up; suppose they were but not everybody's good at finding the clues sometimes.

You're right, there have been so many hints especially during a rewatch but there are some things that only lucky guesses would have gotten. Like, who could have guessed that Jorah was going to get Greyscale based off the interaction with Quaithe warning him of the Doom? Going back, yep, it's right there clear as day, the only real reason she's there is to warn him and the viewer, but upon first watch, 99% of viewers won't assume that.

Finally got around to seeing this show. Spent a whole week getting to S7. What a ride of death lol. So is Theon going to do this coward shtick until he dies killing his uncle or something? Feels like they're telegraphing that but I thought we were done with that after he left with Sansa. Does Petyr finally die after everyone finally realizes he should have been dead seasons ago? (Considering how everyone in Winterfell forgets he put a knife on Ned.) And what's the odds that Dany's dragons are all killed? 50/50?

Welcome! And now your watch begins.

Theon did the right thing regardless of why he actually did it. We'd be talking about how stupid he was for getting both himself and his sister killed, if he stupidly charged at Saint Euron the Invincible.

yeah, I definitely didn't see that shit coming either. not exactly a twist, but just a shocker move.

but that storyline was so worth it coz the Sam/Jorah arc has been fuckin great! I loved that shit this season. i really do wonder if jorah and dany will exchange both their paths involving Tarlys. Randyl Tarly has just sworn for the queen, while his son Samwell Tarly just saved Jorah's life!

anyways, something else I've been wondering about Jon. he addressed Dany as your grace, just as he was taught by his dad, he shows Dany the same courtesy he showed the Baratheons. Stannis was the one who interjected and said to Dany that he's not a lord, he's a king. I wonder how differently their conversation would've turned out if it started with "the winds were kind, your grace."

another thing about Jon is how he's kinda the opposite of Beric. Beric did like what, fuckin 6 times and he said "every time I come back, I'm a bit less." - Jon seems like he's been stronger ever since he died. That chokehold he put Petyr in was a direct reminiscence to Ned doing the same thing in season 1.

Welcome to the fold. I know the feeling of injecting this show into your veins for 60 episodes in a few week. Now welcome to the 7 day hell between episodes. Lol

At least I will have stuff to chew on while we wait every 7 days. I'm also watching Twin Peaks: The Return and our thread is arguing if the plot is going nowhere/somewhere every episode at this point and some are just submitting to Lynch's crazy ride over there lol. Yeah, it was definitely an interesting journey especially for something that alot of you have been watching for almost 7 years now. It's a hell of a thing especially when you're having to wade through the more depressing aspects of the show. Thanks for the warm welcome though! I'm looking forward to seeing how this all pans out.

Nobody knows this.
I would think at the very least Varys would have been aware. Him and the Hound were there. It just seems convenient in this show that even when people can find out explicitly how people died, they don't know that Petyr betrayed Ned.

Maybe it's more the fact that Sansa fucking knows that Petyr threw her aunt down a hole and still hasn't told anyone about that. Like you already got the help you needed from the creepy asshole who apparently wants to bed you so why can't he get his comeuppance yet? Pretty sure The Vale folks aren't that thrilled with Petyr leading them anyways. (Or maybe it's because I might hate how Sansa's character might turn out but we'll see.)

The hound is heading north. I would be surprised if they dont stop at winterfell. He will reunite with Sansa and if she ever gets there arya. As well as brienne.

It would be interesting to have a scene where he sees Little finger and says "WHAT'S that traitorous bastard doing here"

So...I need you to be stiff and robotic in your portrayal of Bran.

"Got it."

Okay guys, we're rolling and action.

"Sorry, I was talking on my phone. What was the director saying? Ah well."

I feel bad for bran. Definitely has some ptsd, which is to be expected. But he has become pretty creepy and I hope we will see him become his old self, or at least just not creepy before this is all done.

He has been raped, beaten, and killed far less than his siblings.

True. Really all of the starks have become really dark except for Jon who is just broody. The thing with bran is that he has seen all the horrible things that have happened to his siblings and apparntly liked watching it? The comment he made to sansa was so wierd. I don't like it I want the old bran back.

Bran has the entire history of world stuck in his head. The show hasn't done a great job of showing it, but that's some pretty traumatic shit. He can't exactly try to change/stop something at the risk of creating another Hodor situation. The dude is basically destined to know everything and be powerless to do anything about it by himself. That would make most people crazy if not downright suicidal.

Because he made a move on her before handing over Ned's bones.

That aspect makes Petyr's mindset so messed up: "If I can't fuck my woman cause she's dead, I can fuck her little girl." And yet, even with Jon and Brienne knowing that's bad, the dude is still near Sansa. Sansa should have that sense like lol no but again, her mindset is fucked or something cause this Petyr issue could be over in a manner of seconds.

Bran should reward her somehow. They should get married and make her lady of house Reed whatever her fortress is called

They've been together since S3 and not once have I've seen any real romance/chemistry between the two of them. I guess you can always do the 'survivors together' angle but the show has never bothered with their relationship. In fact Bran hung out more with her bro than her really.

Actually wonder what they are gonna do with her character now that they are back in Winterfell. Just keep an eye on Bran until she dies or something?

Btw, shoutout to my main man, Pod! That dude is still kicking and has one of the best lol-worthy scenes from this series. When's he getting himself a girl for all of his hard work again?

until her brother died. and his direwolf. and Hodor. after that it was just the 2 of them. Meera basically dedicated her whole life to Bran, how do you not develop some feelings and affection after that

edit: sorry for double post

Agreed, it's nothing in comparison to some of the other duo's. Arya and The Hound, Arya and Tywin, Jaime and Brienne etc etc. but for the short amount of interaction they've had between one another, its been some of my favorite bits of the season thus far.

Yeah, if the season wss a regular season, they may have been able to devote more time to it, who knows. Maybe Sam would have left with jorah to secure the Dragon glass and John would have come after.

Jorah and tyrion were a pretty good match up too. I think him and Sam on the road together would of have been great

marrying a Stark? That's huge power in the north.

I meant marrying Bran specifically, and especially the way he's been acting. Plus I'm pretty sure Bran is gonna become one with a tree fairly soon, like the last three-eyed-raven. "I'll never be lord of anything". His marriage would mean nothing. Unless out of nowhere it turns out Meera loved him in romantic off-screen moments, then that's different.
