It definitely felt like I was watching a different team than the Liquid I saw yesterday. They played really well today and I think they could take it.

Hmmmmmm. Kinda. I didn't think they could beat LGD and I don't think they can beat LFY, but who knows. In Kuro we trust. But...had a good week, got a lot of shit done and this is good in dotaVR where I can watch with some friends on a 400 inch virtual screen or actually walk around the heroes in life-sizes on the map. It really is quite amazing if you haven't tried it before.

Yes! See this is why i keep you around. I'll see what my options are and how many characters I'm limited to. I need to keep my Space Shuttle Florida plate though because I loved the shuttle program. My way of holding onto the dream of being an astronaut.
edit: 7 character max here in Florida.

Oh wow congrats. I thought about trying it but walked past after the event was over and the red Bull section seemed busy.

Were you limited to Wraith Band/Branch/Faerie Fire to be eligible for the arcana or could you choose any starting item build?
You can buy what ever you want, outside of bottle, soul ring, and smoke. Can't pick up runes thought.
I bought a ward, 4 salves, and a tango. Had to pick SF through to be eligible.

Skills look like
Parry: parry the next auto attack recieve, disabling the hero for x seconds
Footwork: swing around a tree/hero and attack everything in that aoe
Break: three possible abilities. Charges up your next auto attack to break a heroes passives, passive which ignores a heroes passives when attacking from behind, or a targeted skill which breaks passives. (Will probably be the second because the rest are too broken)
Throw sword: throw your sword at the target enemy and roll towards them, dealing damage and stunning all enemies in your path. The targeted enemy takes additional damage and stun on hit.
Looks like a fun kit that synergies well

In terms of individual skills, I root for Liquid, with all the players being super strong (no exception).
In terms of teamplay, I root for Chinese teams, with their very frequent 3-on-1 successful ganks.

I'm not even sure who you ban against Liquid.
Early draft: Gh's Io, Kotl, Earthshaker are all strong
Late draft: Miracle Invoker, Antimage, Morphling, Huskar,
Pokcet: Matu's brood
Matu's necro got shut down hard vs LGD. He was 0-3 after a few minutes - but he's playing those notail/arteezy non-flashy cores for the most part.

GH is a true 9,8k not boosted trash like abed and artour, I think he can play other heroes with above average results.
I'd prefer East vs West
Also Newbee just beat LFY the other day, and Liquid has not played LFY or Newbee in the group stages yet so it would be all fresh matchups

TFW you don't miss a single day of Fantasy for the first time, but your score is still worse than previous years when you did.
I'm at 2623. Not great, but I'm beating all my friends, so I'll take the small victories. I don't follow teams/have a high enough compendium that I could expect to go top percentile anyhow.
