started reading from day 3 start and still 10 pages...
this dayphase seems pretty wrapped up though bar shenanigans, that's nice as it gives me time to catch up
Sorry for my relative absence. I think from reading the chat the only way we can move on is to definitely lynch OuroKity, but I don't want to end the day without a chance to discuss our other scum reads. I'd put FlushMonkey, Natikomadic, and StarBro as my top scum reads.
I told my partner as much in our chat, but I think we're dealing with an inactive or just uncoordinated scum team. Reading the vote leading up to Flatsune's lynch, I couldn't help but wonder why there wasn't more of a push to save their partner. Or why Kitsune thought it was a good idea to post such a large and fluffy attempt at a read. It just doesn't feel like a team effort to coordinate a defense. Admittedly there's no way to prove it, but that's just my gut reading. I played scum once, and I remember making more of an effort to save my partners. Here, it feels like scum's strategy is to do much of nothing.
It's through this perspective that I choose some of my top choices for scum. Star hasn't been very committed to a vote and seemed hesitant to vote out Flatsune. I can't link the post on mobile, but I remember thinking her logic was weak for her vote.
Flush has been a topic of discussion several times in my lover's chat. My Day 1 impression of Flush was that he wasn't doing much to actually scum and more posting reads to coast under the radar. His initial reads on Flatsune stop short of calling either scum directly IIRC. I'd be willing to bet he's scum, just from my reads of his posts alone. Hey Monkey has been a great contributor, but I wonder if it's not overcompensation for a mostly inactive team. I see a lot of activity from her, but moving into the next day I'm curious to see who she focuses on.
I have a more positive impression of Natiko, but not of his partner Nomadic. I feel like Nomadic on his own would read as scummy to me. He hasn't done much to make me feel like he's really interested in finding scum. My scum lean is weaker on them than the others.

experienced scum have no problem busing their lesser experienced scum buddies, OR, when momentum builds sacrificing them for big town trusts, just, something to consider

From reading the chat? This is odd phrasing. I noted a few times too Ty spoke for you in the thread so doubling down on this through-my-partner's lens is strange to me.
Nomadic is just kind of like this, though. It makes him an impossible read, but I'd agree that Natiko seems quite townie. I agree with you on Star, too; that may be one of the places I look next because like some others, I think that's a risk as the game gets smaller but now it depends on AbBro. Similar to rachors. Maybe they can give us some insight based on that boat's chat. But where I go does obviously depend on the flip. I feel good about it, but in the chance that we're wrong, I might look at the post counts for today, in Kark fashion - seems like some teams have been quieter this phase, which gives some a chance to control the discourse or may be safer if a teammate is on the line (or if they know there's a big move for a mislynch). I generally feel pretty townie on Sophist (heh, rhetoric jokes), but I'm curious why Crimson would cool on Ouro. He said a little but not much.

Poor phrasing on my part. I was referring to the main discussion here, not my lover's chat specifically. We haven't actually talked much about the current Ouro situation. I don't town read Our and we're a few votes away from a lynch. I'm fine with seeing them eliminated to move the discussion forward.
I've never played with Nomadic honestly. If that's his style then it's new to me.
Crimphia has been pretty townie for me, but they haven't exactly taken any controversial stances. They fade easily into the background.

So I have a situation coming up: I will be on a music festival from Wednesday to Saturday night. During this time I very likely won't play Mafia at all. I will certainly not be in the position to sufficiently address any lynch attempts against us (which will come if I read this thread correctly). D4 ends on Sunday evening. I do not know yet how much time I will have on said Sunday. If you think this is a major problem I'd be willing to sub out after this day phase. I already talked with my partner about this and she would prefer if I stayed in. I also trust her to carry our boat on her own for that time frame. On my own I would stay in.
But if a majority of you say it's better for the game if I subbed out, then I'm willing to do so.

I don't see it as busing. I think the votes tumbled up, and flat was unable to create a better defense on the spot. He was mostly waiting for Kitsune to help fill in the gaps. I'd think they'd be more prepared or something.
I think it's fine to stay in. If you can respond at all come that final day it would probably be better than anything a sub with very little time to catch up on a ton of pages would be able to say. Not everyone is as dedicated as monkey.

Also, and I know I ask this in every game so maybe we should make it a standard thing: can someone post the link you get if you click the post count in OT-Community? The one that lets you search by user posts? It does not show up in mobile, and I cannot search on the .net site since I cant sign in.
Hmm.. how to put this? We get a decent amount of town-confirmed reads from you, and we also find out if you're telling the truth about the Mailman role. It also solves one problem of town constantly coming back to the idea of "Is Ouro really scum?" over and over because of FEP's slip.

I'm inclined to agree with you. There was definitely a lot of it on Day 1, and it wasn't beneficial to discussion at all.
I think there's a clear difference between the occasional shitpost to lighten up the mood, and like what I noticed from Ty4on on day 1, where half one's posts are shiposts.

If you flipped town and the Mailman role is confirmed? Probably Royal/hey_monkey and Sorian/Sawneeks. Royal's bait and switch on Day 2, targeting Verelios and then voting Sorian, sucked. Sorian comes off in a different light with him suggesting a town hooker and basically confirmation that your role was stopped somehow.

To be honest, if not for your slipup here I might be more inclined to defend you, as my gut is saying you might not be scum. Unfortunately, I can't ignore it after Crimson pointed it out.

I'd go with Sorian too. There's a few things from previous days regarding Kitsune, and then this town role blocker nonsense.
This doesn't make the slightest bit of sense. A town role blocker sat on Ouro for two nights, despite failing to block a kill the first night, Ouro, who is not a mailman, knows that he has been blocked, which would mean that he'd have to have an information gathering role, since he clearly didn't submit the scum kill whilst blocked. Which would raise the question as to a) why Ouro claimed mailman over this hypothetical information gathering role, and b) the probably scum hooker submitted the night kill, which I'd assume should have cancelled out the virgin.

I don't think scum would help confirm him, even if they got the letter. It looks worse on Ouro if they deny ever getting his letter and let him sit on this awkward roleclaim.
She's saying that when I named claimed, I said we ARE Bowser and Waluigi, rather than we ARE SHIPPING Bowser and Luigi. Which I did, but it's a dumb thing to get hung up on.
All the town related roles so far have flipped as shipping a pair. The sole scum pair that flipped flipped as the pair themselves.

Well, I'd definitely have to sit down and rethink over a lot of my gut reads since my gut would be wrong if you flipped Town.
Next on my list is focusing on the interactions with FEP/Kits and the votes around them since they are currently the only solid Scum flip we have. If you flip Scum I'll add you to the list of rereads I want to do and then go from there but my current focus goes:
You/KK -> Royal/Monkey -> Crimson/Sophia -> the rest*
*barring whatever I find after rereading Day 2

I think if Ourokitty's telling the truth, it's plausible that Star could've gotten the message, refrained from mentioning it, and then voted Ourokitty after they posted the codewords, which would seem like a very scum thing to do
but I'm pretty certain Ourokitty are lying, fwiw
