When you fall on your own, then pretend you were tripped = flop (dive)Ronaldo didnt dive he just lost his balance but he should of never touched the ref.Surprised nobody talked about Suarez dive to give barca their only goal also Manchester United gave Madrid a tougher match than Barca
Never touch the ref. Never ever.
Bingo.Ronaldo didn't dive. He was in a sprint, Umtiti clearly hindered/touched him during their fight for the ball and Ronaldo fell as a consequence. Anybody who plays football himself will know how hard it is to stay on your feet when somebody tries to cross you during your sprint.
It was not enogh for a penalty but it also clearly was not a dive.

I still don't understand why divers don't get banned for several matches.
Watch the full match, it's a savage beating.
wait they flag for dives now? this is good news but the video clearly shows the man lost his balance not a dive
Rule #1 in any professional sport
NEVER touch the ref
I really want to like Soccer but this thread pretty sums up everything I don't like about that sport. If they could just get rid of the flopping and acting like babies I really would give it a shot.
So he got a yellow card for a "dive", another one for celebrating with his shirt off, and then pushed the referee when he was sent off? Is this the quintessential Ronaldo match or what? Lmao.

Because barca are kings of it in CLI still don't understand why divers don't get banned for several matches.
Ronaldo circa 2008.
He's a known driver. Has priors.
I guess ref's consider this. I don't believe it's a yellow though but whatever.
tbf he barely touched the ref lol
tbf he barely touched the ref lol
Barely touched the ref and got thrown out of the game for being pushed.
Great ref there.
He was thrown out before the push.
Good. Appropriate punishment for touching a ref. I'm all for harsher punishment, that shit is out of control and super annoying in football.
Next up, instant send-offs for people getting up in the ref's face and screaming at them or crowding up around them.
Fucking make that shit hurt both the players and their teams so professional footballers, millionaires the lot of them, don't have any incentive left to act like 5-year olds throwing a temper tantrum anytime a call doesn't go their way.
The most boring parts of football to me are the parts where football isn't being played, i.e. the theatrics after fouls/dives, or acting up against the ref. Cutting down on these would make the sport better, imo. It's got enough disruptions as it is, I want to see the ball in play as much as possible, not watch a bunch of millionaire babies crowding around to argue with the fucking ref every 2 minutes.Right, football is boring enough as it is. Having players act like emotionally dead office drones won't make the sport better.

I think that you actually need to understand context though. It seems like you haven't really got a grasp of the game and just sort of already hated footballers doing this nebulous thing.Good. Appropriate punishment for touching a ref. I'm all for harsher punishment, that shit is out of control and super annoying in football.

It seems like you're disagreeing with him but you said 'right'?Right, football is boring enough as it is. Having players act like emotionally dead office drones won't make the sport better.
Good, because that is so little of the actual game. Once again, I get the impression that you're criticizing something that you barely have any exposure to. You also don't seem to understand the importance of this. The most boring parts of football to me are the parts where football isn't being played, i.e. the theatrics after fouls/dives, or acting up against the ref. You say that but most of the arguments against video refereeing is that it makes the game slower and makes the game stop more. It is sorely needed though.tbh most of this would be solve if FIFA just get with the time and use camera/computer for all the ref decision.
Wow poor himCome on it's not attack. He slightly pushed him but it's still disgraceful and he deserves the 5 game ban. I hopw they hit him with a fine too. I love the guy but he fucked up. Never seen him do this before. He must be on edge with his tax dodging trial going on and all
I still don't understand why divers don't get banned for several matches.
Yeah, with intonation it would have sounded more like "Riiiight"It seems like you're disagreeing with him but you said 'right'?
