All I'm saying is I don't see why people feel the need to put up with modern Capcom's garbage right now, when there are more amazing fighting games being released than ever. There are tons of underplayed and underappreciated games that never got their due, and but this game, which damn near EVERYONE agrees is disappointing in some regard, seems to get a free pass just because of who made it.

KoFXIV plays great and had an astounding launch roster considering all of the characters were made from scratch, but barely anyone's playing that. There's more great anime games than I can count, but they'll never be popular.

But this, which outside of story mode seems to have had the bare minimum amount of money put into it, is getting all the hype. To me, it seems incredibly unfair.

Why limit it to fighting games? While you're in the lab practicing swag combos for hours, you're missing out on some real masterpieces.

DS overall is Capcom's stronger universe, free. Jedah would be like a midtier cosmic entity in the Marvel Universe.

They're so used to only playing SF and Marvel games because that's basically all there was to play competitively for 2D fighters that they'll stick with them even if there are problems with the new games and there's lots of great games as competition.

Yup.

It's the same reason why someone will stick to the same character to main even if they get nerfed.

That isn't to say that isn't true for other games. It's just for instance, in the West, there are fewer that have that kind of history with KOF than SF.

It all makes sense once you realise Dante's face being ugly is a conscious decision by Capcom to reflect that he's been non-stop partying for a week and is exhausted but refuses to stop partying

I noticed it that they might drop "All-New Characters" from Press Release, etc so it's plausible that we might get Venom from Season 1. I think something went wrong with their development so some characters probably got delayed or shelved so we got less characters because of that.

Yea a cosmic entity in the dmc universe which ain't shit. Even someone like MU Odin would press all of DMC. Characters like Jedah and Morrigan are much more powerful than that, so no, no random Tuesday homie. Sorry your boy gets washed by Jedah.

Aside from the succubus part (that wouldn't work on Dante), Morrigan is like the most powerful DS character that's why they split her soul into Lilith.

I think we're talking different levels of dedication. When you've been playing a character for more than a decade, you're beyond the liking aesthetics level.

In that sense, I think we have a different understanding on what character loyalty actually means.

I also saw one interesting scene in Valkanda between Ryu, The Hulk, and Black Panther, the latter of which holds an Infinity Stone. They're joined by a monster hunter in what looks like a Rathalos armor set. The character was part of a roster leak earlier in the year, but when I asked Capcom about her potential inclusion as DLC, they said they had nothing to announce.

Monster Hunter coming with Rathalos armors is pretty much confirmed.

Dante is incredibly powerful, but he's realistically not handling Morrigan. Morrigan is like Capcoms Superman in terms of power.

Which is funny because Superman was exactly how Capcom actually described Dante in DMC4 and being written into a corner power level wise. Hence why we got a new protagonist in DMC4.

That's such a weird thought process. Tons of FGC people cross pollinate. Tons of people play other fighting games. Tokido was a GG and KOF player, IIRC. Xiao is a KOF player. LI Joe loves like everything. A ton of the old heads play different games, and did so in the olden days. Some people just end up liking a particular type of game. Hell, people are playing Tekken as well as SF.

Capcom absolutely does not get a pass. They get dragged every day. People just enjoy the game enough to keep playing it. That's how it is for literally eveything. I have more fault with people claiming they are done with capcom and supporting other games but doing nothing to help their supposed title survive. They spend more time complaining about SFV and not promoting KOF, GG, or whatever. And the negativity doesn't look good for anyone.

Again, none of this is really rocket science. People enjoy SFV and the complaints are warranted but not really indicative of how everyone thinks. Things would be much better if people spent their energy elsewhere instead of focusing on things they don't like but whatever.
