YESSSSSSS

I actually exclaimed a bit at the office when I saw that title lmao. Thank god it's still early, place is half empty.

Insanely excited to play what most seem to consider the best Yakuza story in HD!

I'm gonna get liquored up and punch them in the face.

God damn what a time to be playing this series for the first time. I'm going through Zero right now. Kiwami is in the mail on it's way to my doorstep. And now news of Kiwami 2 hits?

Gaf....hold me.

As someone who started the series with 0, loved it and have Kiwami pre-ordered, I'm now considering holding out on 6, makes more sense if I can potentially play the whole series on the system first.

I'm really fucking excited. After Kiwami, this will be the only mainline game so far I haven't played and I'm really looking forward to why many consider it the best of the series. Although I may break and buy an overpriced copy of Yakuza 2 before Yakuza 6 comes out because it seems fitting.

Wasn't expecting it to be coming this year. Definitely importing if this is true, December is empty at the minute anyway and it'll have been a year without a new Yakuza game by that point.

YES! I'm so happy! Good move, Sega! I started playing these games with Yakuza 0 and have pre-ordered Yakuza Kiwami; super awesome that people like me can continue the story this way! :D

Part of me wishes it would use zeros graphics engine so it lined up nicely with zero and kiwamis art direction, but the other half knows it will look amazing and the world/combat will flow even better with 6s.

Better than Club Sunshine? Because that mini game/quest line was amazing.

My man!
Club Sunshine was so amazing.
An amazing storyline as well as an amazing minigame.
Kiryu's real estate adventures were way worse in that regard because you do literally nothing but spend money to get money so you can spend it again to get more money, etc.
And you have to wait 5 minutes in between spending and earning money.
That was stupid.

Club Sunshine is where it's at! Best minigame in the game for sure.

Agreed, that mini game took up about 8 hours of my playtime, it was fucking superb! And the hunt for new hostesses was great too. The old purple haired, tiger jumper wearing oba chan was a great earner. She could talk the hind legs off a donkey.

Majimas whole half was great as well, his entrance was one of the best I have seen in games.

Cant wait for kiwami, and then tiger punching in 2

The great thing about this that it's the improved dragon engine, i expect huge updates to the combat too with Y6 being the test bed for the engine. Anyone wann guess what else they'll add? Something equivalent to Mr.Shakedown or Majima everywhere could be a thing.

Happy!

In November 2016, I travelled to Kabukicho, Tokyo to film a new documentary series comparing real-life Kabukicho Tokyo to the fictionalized Kamurocho Tokyo featured in the Yakuza series by Sega.

In 2012, I filmed a documentary series, Yakuza Locations Tour 2012 to celebrate the release of the upcoming Yakuza 5 (Ryu Ga Gotoku 5). The documentary was met with overwhelming positive response from the fans and the Ryu Ga Gotoku Studios team.

To celebrate my 5th year anniversary on YouTube, this is my tribute to the Yakuza (龍が如く) franchise and the amazingly talented team at Sega. This video was a labor of love, made by a fan for the fans.

Me and my buddy were just talking about looking for the locations whenever we go thank you for this!

Already out this year? can anyone explain to me how does Sega produces those games so quickly? they may not have the latest tech but they are still loaded with content and from Yakuza 6 they are also technically competent, do they have more than one team working on the series?

I mean those devs are seriously efficient.

ICHI NI SUNSHINEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Awesome news, they're going all in with the remakes. Hopefully Kiwami and Kiwami 2 will help the game grow a bit more in the west.

Yakuza 6 engine! Colour me intrigued. I imagine Yakuza 7 in Q2 2018 then, back to standard Yakuza release schedule before Yakuza 6 extended development due to engine upgrade.
