Yep, I've got captures from a OG PS4, one with dirt all over the over completely clean because I reloaded the level.

Best wait till the X One X releases and people start posting captures, while I'm sure DF and John has done a great job like always Direct captures off PC and PS4Pro looks nothing like the comparisons
The face one is odd because it's a cutscene and I have gameplay captures that shows Lara with more detail, hell I can the pores in her skin but that shot doing the rounds is smudgeville .

thats another thing, I'm no where near the point those shots where taken but this is Lara in gameplay off my ProYeah I see no differences there. However in other shots where we see Lara in the snow you can see the texture of her jacket looking more crisp and clear on the X shot.
put that against the comparison shots and you have to ask whats going on in those shots
I though it was clear from the go that the extra dirt was down to different level of dirtiness decals in the compared shots. I don't think that changes anything, except for people that thought the extra dirt was downloadable 4k dirt.
And what about that screenshot showing the more blurry cravings in that wall?

Of course it remains to be seen what the differences are when the X comes out and we see raw footage of it, like from Gamersyde for example but right now it is looking quite similar to Pro after all. Slightly disappointing when we keep in mind the extra power X offers.

Yup. The textures are obvious..especially the pic with the jacket and the stone tab and to think this is just RoTR alpha footage running on the 1X.The overall image is sharper on the X1X than on PS4 Pro due to native 2160p and textures are better in general. That is my take away. Plus I also get Dolby Atmos sound, enough for me!

The indecipherable garble marches on at a pace commensurate with Moores Law. We've got dynamic bruising and dynamic blood! Nobody knows what it means becasue it's a language created by software developers to intended to make the practice of video game coding appear to be a "dark art" that only they can deliver.
Software doesn't work like this. It's either 1s o 0s. Yes or no. Either a bruise is there because the software developers wrote it to be, or it isn't. This talk of dynamic occurances is all smoke and mirrors, similar to what "bump mapping" was 15 years ago.

nothing, thats a one of my direct capture during gameplay, its compressed jpg but still the IQ is a lot better than the comparsion shots that are popping up from cutscenes, which is oddWhats the issue with this one?
It just can't be FXAA, because lara's face is zoomed from a bigger shot which has visible DOF on other platforms, where as the XB version does not....If I had the PC version I would have posted some 4k screens, DOF on and off, FXAA on or off, if there is a toggle for that...
Many questions still looms, but I think the first thing we can do here is to do some PC comparisons with the best textures, best settings against XBONEX and see what was really improved...1:1 obviously, dof off, certain reflections off as highlighted by Liabe Brave earlier,,and of course with these things on to see what has not been implemented in the XB version yet..

Ok, no problem.....well..it's this ...I can do these comparisons...as soon as I am farther away in the game. Why should I downscale the reflections by the way?
I don't think this is quite visible in the stills in this thread, so i'm going to look at the video again, but you can forget it for now with your comparisons, just highlighting another observation someone made...What is clear to me in a few instances in the XB version is that AA coverage is not as great as the PRO version...I'm looking at Lara's nose in the closeup,some of the ledges when you overlook prohet's tomb after the water puzzle and in a few other areas.....Colors seem to be a bit subdued in the XBONEX version against the PRO as well...but the last point is simply an observation made watching the video a few times. Can't wait to see the comparisons you come up with later...It's also missing reflections in Lara's eyes that are present even in the unenriched Pro mode. This may also be something they fix before release.

That's what I noticed when I said I wasn't 100% sure if it was a feature or a defect because it just appeared as if the blood & dirt textures wasn't as transparent as it was on the PS4 Pro & PC shots.
Its the FXAA that softens the PC shot.
In summary
X1X doesn't use FXAA or DoF
Same texture resolution as PC version.
