Yeah, just play it on Xbox One.
I know your kidding, but I wouldn't be worried here

The hype for this game reminds me of the hype generated for Project Spark, Scalebound and Fable Legends.
Get your resumes updated, Rare folks.
Love my Xbox One, but Phil Spencer has really done a terrible job with building and maintaining many of these 1st party projects and studios. Also, Microsoft seems to be a "Kill it" not a "Fix it" company: See Kinect, Windows Phone and all the things I mentioned above.

That's exactly my point: don't take advantage of players who can't meet spec just so you can get another sale.

In all seriousness, the game looks great and fun as well. I should really start thinking about getting a 4k setup, though it's quite pricey if you want proper HDR support.

Lol wow.I'm playing right now and I'm under NDA but you know what? Fuck it; have a gif about how it looks
People with really shitty computers/laptops who still want to try the game.
I don't think my opinion is unreasonable, but it's okay that y'all do.
That would be me..
I thought this game isn't really that graphically impressive.
It sort of already looks like it would run on a pretty modest laptop.

Who the fuck enjoys playing at 15 fps?
Have you seen it?
I mean its like right in the OP quote? Why it is.
I'm trying to wrap my head around a thread where people are shitting on a developer giving built-in options for people with low-end PCs and laptops?

The game plays at 4k or uncapped if you want it and can run it.
Why would you be pissed about them saying that people can play the game at 540p and 15fps if they want?
Why do people get pissed about stuff that has no impact on them or the development of the game? Its not running at 15fps on consoles or most computers.
I think every shooter needs smooth framerate. Rocketlaunchers in Quake fire rather slowly, that doesn't mean any sane person would try that online at 15 fps. Obviously this is not Quake, but you shoot nontheless. I actually see less problems with melee fighting in that regard. It's not like the aim of a real life powder cannon could be adjusted several times a second. Even the firing mechanism should have a perceptible latency. A low framerate would impact smoothness, but for gameplay in that specific scenario I don't see anything that would require fast updates.
Sword fighting might be more problematic, although I don't think it's the kind of game where you need to trigger counters in short time windows, that's no Metal Gear Rising.
Well I guess if attention of the cynical and humorless variety was what Rare was aiming for, then this thread shows they have succeeded in a big way.
What exactly are you mad about here?
While you're being dramatic, there's a pretty big difference between 15fps and 7fps in that the latter is below the threshold for motion perception. It's going to start looking like a slideshow of images rather than video.
Prepare to be berated for choosing to spend your money on something other than an Xbone or a new PC.
