I thought this would be an Xbox One setting, but no, seems it is for pc so why is there an article on it in the first place? Majority of pc games will render down to 480p and framerate - whatever ur rig can run so if its 2 fps then so be it...

The only area in the game that had performance issues worth mentioning was the start of Old Yharnam, and Souls games in general are known for their performance issues. Bloodborne was one of the better performing games they've made on console.

The same players that demand the options of high resolution and frame rates are hopefully not vocalizing against this. It'd be hypocritical as the argument is normally the more options the better.

Is it weird? Maybe.
But it's inclusive as gaming should be, so more people can have fun.

And the resources to implement this was probably quite low.
