3DS Hidden Gems?

After taking a quick gander at my game collection, I noticed a severe lack of 3DS titles that I own, which is shocking as I love the system so much. I have most of the big releases for the console, Mario 3D Land, LBW, OOT3D, MM3D, NSMB2, MK7, all the Pokemons, Fire Emblem Awakening, and third party stuff like RE: Revelations, KH3D, and Final Fantasy Theatrhythm. However, that's pretty much it, and I'm not sure where to start digging for other games I might like. I'm a big fan of Action/Adventure games, RPGs, platformers, and shooters. Can people assist with some games I might like that might be overlooked or underrated?

Fantasy Life, Pocket Card Jockey, and Code Name STEAM immediately comes to mind. All of these are from Nintendo, but people ignore them for some reason.

Fantasy Life
"The ultimate mash-up of RPG and life simulation elements Embark on the adventure of your dream life as you craft, cast, battle, and role-play like never before."

Pocket Card Jockey
"Stack cards like it's a race to the finish. And it is. In this fast-paced mash-up of solitaire and horse racing."

Code Name STEAM
"Launch S.T.E.A.M., an elite team of steam-powered special-forces soldiers, to save the world from an alien menace in this new blend of action and strategy"

Ok definitely Ace Combat Assault Horizon Legacy. Not only is it just really fun it's also a secret remake of Ace Combat 2

Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked sucked me in for a good while and I had never played a game in that series before.

The full voice acting helped get me into it and really enjoy the story.

Ever Oasis is a cute little thing that seems to have come and gone with zero fanfare

Also Shantae and the Pirate's Curse is a super good metroidvania, and better than the most recent one (Half Genie Hero)

Picross 3D Round 2 is an incredible puzzle game

Rhythm Heaven Megamix is also very good though it gets brutally difficult near the end

There is like a gajillion of SMT games on the system. Deep Strange Journey is coming soon if you want a remake of the best post-Nocturne game.

If you liked Theatrhythm, you have to get Curtain Call. It's essentially the first game with tons of more songs.

If you already have that, Rhythm Heaven Megamix is a great game that got overlooked because it was a digital only release.

The BoxBoy and PushMo games are great.

I didn't see Dragon Quest on there, and DQ7 and DQ8 are both amazing RPGs.

Monster Hunter Stories and Metroid this month.
Also the 3DS Kirby games are very good.

Also Fantasy Life is surprisingly good.
Kid Icarus Uprising is cool if you can handle those controls.

Mario Maker 3DS (for the unique made on cart levels wich are better way than NSMB 2)

Ever Oasis such a charming game made by the devs who ported Majoras Mask and OoT to 3DS.

Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon if you like the mystery dungeongames or gameplay it's the second best to Explorers of the Sky imo.

Indie game wise: Shantae Risky Revenge and Pirate Curse, so fuckin good.

Thanks guys! I actually have a lot of these, I didn't give much of a list.

I actually have Codename STEAM and love it. Not really into Monster Hunter or Animal Crossing.

Zeboyd Games
Action/Adventure games, RPGs, platformers, and shooters.

Bit Trip Saga
Azure Striker Gunvolt Striker Pack
Bravely Default 1 and 2
Codename Steam
Etrian Odyssey games
Persona Q
Shin Megami Tensei IV / Apocalypse
Shinobi (I mean, personally I thought it was great)
Ghost Recon Shadow Wars
SMT Soul Hackers
Shovel Knight
All the Sega 3D classics
Shantae Pirate's Curse
Mighty Switch Force

I'm leaving out a few cool games to try to stick to your list / try to focus on the perhaps lesser known ones [plus a few better known ones you shouldn't miss]

Rune Factory 4. Secretly the best action RPG on the system. Bonus points because it's also the best Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons game as well.

The MGS3 port is the best playing version of that game in my opinion, even if the frame rate isn't great. It's probably better on the New 3DS with the analogue nub and extra triggers.

I was going to recommend...

...but then remembered it was DS, not 3DS. Time flies I guys.

Fuck it, I recommend it anyway. One of the best things EA has ever put on on a handheld.

How could I forget about Rhythm Heaven Megamix and Rusty's Real Deal Baseball!

Rhythm Heaven Megamix
"Test your rhythm by chopping wood, sticking speeding viruses with forks and playing badminton while flying an airplane, all in time to catch tunes in this deceptively challenging rhythm game."
rhythm-heaven-megamix-banner.jpg
Rusty's Real Deal Baseball
"Feel the crack of the bat in a collection of baseball-themed minigames! Then, take a breather and haggle with hilarious ol Rusty to lower the real-life price of additional batting, pitching, and fielding minigames, plus a whole lot more!"

Not exactly hidden, but don't miss out on SMT 4/ Apocalypse. These games were my intro into the series and subsequently got me into Persona as well.

There are demos for the first and second games. I bought the second, because I liked the QoL addition in the sequel.

Here to peddle for Dragonball Fusions

This game is so damn good if you like the DBZ Franchise and enjoy strategy games.

I've been enjoying the Puzzle and Dragons game off and on. It's perfect for me since I like the PAD gameplay but hate free to play gacha systems. I haven't played the Mario version, but the Z version is set up like a hilariously shameless Pokemon knockoff, except you get dialogue options to call out the dumb comic relief sidekick for being a useless sack of shit who contributes literally nothing.

Another vote for Fantasy Life. Game is best played in small bursts though - as there is a lot of overlap in mechanics for the different Jobs/Lives. Really enjoyed it as a casual adventure/light-rpg game.

+1 on Rusty's Real Deal Baseball

Code Name Steam isn't too good. Falls apart near the end and the characters/world are terrible

Hey Pikmin is a pretty cool game, very relaxing sidescroller. I have also heard Ever Oasis is pretty good but I haven't played that yet.

I wanted to like Kid Icarus so much but it was almost physically impossible to play, my hands aren't build to aim and move at the same time they want me to.

I understand that, it also took me little while to get used to it, I even try use the stand but after while I got hang of it and I didn't need the stand anymore.

Once understood controls, it kind of remind me how Metroid Prime Hunters on DS controlled.
