Never heard of this. Must not be very popular/good.

Question? Should I just buy Divinity 2 now? Will the EA version work as some kind of pre-load?

The price isn't changing so you may as well if you're going to on Thursday anyway. The EA version will be updated to the full release, yeah, though I imagine a lot of it is going to be changed anyway. Probably cuts down on the download at the margins at least.

Thanks. I will buy it as soon as this auction money gets to me. I want to get in on day 1.

I wonder if playing it with an undead right away is a good idea? It sounds fun but might things to hard starting out? I don't know.

It's a pretty old build of only the first (short) act of the game. A lot is likely to be patched over and then all the new content will be added. I doubt it will be of huge benefit.

Is the combat in OS2 any faster? I wanted to like that game so much, but it just felt like a slog to get through any combat.

I have to vent. Turns out "The circle is complete" (get all the runes) achievement in Doom is glitched and won't unlock if you've played arcade mode. The solution is to completely delete all the save files off of your machine and do them all again. This is the one and only achievement I will SAM. Ridiculous

They've said that they recommend undead for experienced players so it sounds like some game knowledge would be very helpful.

Not from what's in the first act at least.

There are plenty of turn based combat games that play way slower than they should. XCOM 2 without SWMT is excruciatingly slow

I think that the yankiness is part of the charm. Vehicle physics can be wonky at times, but it results on hilarious moments.

Yankiness can never be part of something's charm, haha. Sure, it can be charming despite it being janky, but never because it is janky.

But I do love the sound of a battle royale arena, so I'm waiting for a sale.

Any SteamGAFers dealing with Hurricane Irma right now? Stay safe!

My nieces evacuated and flew up to us in PA. They live(d) in St. James City, and will most likely not have a home to return to.

I'm playing this

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01NCLJ9X2/?tag=neogaf0e-20

on my Kindle, but for some strange reason the last bonus dlc episode is missing, despite being released for all platforms. My version is updated, so I don't really know what I should do to unlock the chapter.

The product page lists the game version as 2.1.78161. That's an older version that predates the release of the DLC. If there's no way to update the game (I've no idea how updates are handled when an app has been purchased outside of Google Play), then I'd guess you have to buy the DLC separately.

Edit: Amazon doesn't sell it, apparently.

All in-app purchases are free too in Underground, but I noticed there are only costumes or "tips" to buy :|

Any of you played the story stuff in The Long Dark? Any good? Think I will give it a go once I get my steam controller.

Most consider it the best pure survival game to date.

It's refreshing in that it's just you against the elements in a 100% authentic landscape. The bulk of most survival games have you in alien locations or hunted by fantastical creatures.

The art direction is off the charts. Gorgeous, painterly visuals and really smart sound design.

Game is content rich. I think there's like 13 maps at this point? They're all interconnected as well.

The story mode is hit or miss. I like it a lot, but others say it's just okay. That's fine, as the meat of the game is in Survival mode anyway.

Most importantly, the layers of gameplay systems are intelligently integrated. You manage warmth, thirst, hunger and energy and they're all tied together with items you scavenge and such in a really smart fashion. Game has a very intuitive approach and feel to wilderness survival.

Big thumbs up.

Holy hell the new IT movie is AMAZING!

Wowzers.

Yeah, it looks like the DLC isn't available on Amazon's store. That leaves installing Google Play (assuming that's still possible), buying the game again and then purchasing the DLC as your only option, which isn't ideal.

Ugh. Hope you can find a way to play the episode Ludens, the Mirror of Spirits levels are great.

I'll wait for a Steam sale, I think you can play the dlc even without finishing the game, a 75% it is than.

Yes, it gives a warning that you should play The Cave of Fire and Mirror of Spirits after the main game but they're unlocked from the start.

Nice, Steam sale it is. Anyway Lara Croft GO is so much better than Hitman Go.
Hitman bored me to death and I completed it just because I spent 5€ on it, Lara Croft instead was free and I tried it following a suggestion from a friend and it was a blast, two days and I completed it.

I haven't tried Hitman or Deus Ex yet, but I just finished Lara Croft GO and loved it. Easily one of my favorite puzzle games.

I'm always surprised by how many people play Football Manager.

There are plenty of people who only have Steam for Football Manager. On another forum I frequent there is complaining every year that FM requires Steam, followed usually by many pages of nostalgia for Champ Manager 01/02 or something.

I buy it every year myself, usually when a sale hits, but I haven't put serious time in in awhile. I miss it, but I also like having a job and going outdoors.

Sounds good! I did try it out before the story stuff, and yeah the game mechanics are great! So will be interesting to see how it plays when there is a "purpose", more than just surviving.

Also really want to see IT! Thinking about seeing it tomorrow.

It's really popular, but I also think the concurrent player number is a little inflated compared to other games since a lot of players will have Football Manager running whenever they're at their computer and take turns whenever they have free time.

"QUICK, WE MUST SCRAP OUR DOTA CARD GAME FOR A DOTA BATTYLE ROYAL GAME."

Actually, I'd be way more down for that than their card game.

Command and Conquer: Sole Survivor was truly twenty years ahead of it's time.

DOTA Battle Royale could certainly be interesting.

I'd try that, but I am also interested in Artifact. *shrug*

Then I guess I stay away from the undead starting out.
