So what exactly is this? Is it an executive order? Democrats cant pass a bill on their own so what exactly is the deal and how can Trump insure the GOP gets behind it? Trump doesn't give a shit about DACA, he just wanted to undue something Obama did but the GOP have much more invested interest in this and Trump giving up his wall, i'm not going to celebrate anything till I see a bill passed and see the contents.

I told yall. Trump want that good press.

Trump is fucking garbage and I cannot forgive him for his actions........

BUT

I do believe that people are capable of redemption.... at least one.... shit I know Ive used mine...

If Trump makes a heel turn in the vainest of reason, I will still accept the good. How can you not if it moves the country in a better way. (Minimum wage, better tax, immigration)

Im not naive, I considering the possibilities of the unpredictable.

I don't think some posters understand how much leverage the Democrats have.

Trump can't "get single-payer passed" because Ryan and McConnell can refuse to bring bills to a vote.

They can only be pressured regarding debt ceiling/budget negotiations, because those have to be passed eventually.

Lord, the 'this was his plan all along! Liberals crying about nothing!' posts on Facebook. 😂

That's a special kind of delusion

This is the pivot! Quick take a photo op with Trump.

The best part is this ups the chance the GOP will pull their heads out of their asses when the time comes and go in on the impeachment parade. Of course they won't be doing it because of "laws", or doing what is "right, but because Trump is actively working against them.

I am reading that this is being misreported and no deal was made. I'll say this, if Trump agrees to no wall, I guarantee he'll lose a big portion of his base. That would bode very well for democrats in 2018 and 2020. I don't see him accepting "no wall", but I have been wrong plenty of times before.

I surprised McConnell hasn't called it quits yet after all this shit. He's way overdue for sponge baths and tapioca pudding for dinner at the nearest senior community.

Congressional Republicans generally favour doing something for DACA enrollees. Not all, by any means (see, e.g., hardcore racists like Steve King), but DACA covers the most politically sympathetic people amongst the broader category of illegal immigrants, and large numbers would be happy to just get them out of the conversation.

It is going to suck so much if Trump pivots to the dems' useful idiot only to get impeached and replaced by Pence/Ryan.

I'm not holding my breath for that, though. Odds are that this is just his usual "tell people what they want to hear then turn around and do the worst possible thing instead" shtick that he's pulled so many times already.

Trump fans would defend Trump no matter what.

This is part of the 'what' :p they'll say they never wanted the wall anyway.

He can't actually do anything in this context, since it's legislative. He's already effectively done the worst he can do by giving notice of cancelling the program.

Holy shit, Trump working with the Democrats is the one thing that might actually get him impeached

What a glorious idiot

I don't think this actually means no wall. Just that the wall wasn't part of the security "enhancements" that the Dems agreed to. I'd imagine Trump still wants to build the wall.

Yes, that's what it means.

Trump will keep pushing the wall, and keep not getting anywhere. He's handed the Democrats all the cards they need to block that when he agreed to a short-term funding resolution.

If he’s not tying it to DACA, or even a larger border security package, it’s deader than it already was.

Lol:

I suppose he ain't wrong
Man, Mitch and Ryan are done if Trump working Dems will result in anger directed at Republican leadership. I can't imagine how unpopular the both of them will be next year. Republicans might start burning McConnell and Ryan in effigy by next year lol.

If Pelosi is one of the ones to get Trump to enshrine DACA into law I don't wanna hear jack shit from anyone else against her liberal credentials or her ability to kick ass and take names ever again. She should go down as one of the better Dem leaders out there.

Pelosi is already one of the greatest congressional members of all time.

Yea I get that but what is THIS deal. What is Trump getting out of it and whats the incentive for the GOP, especially the ones that have falled in with Trumps rhetoric and his base. What is this rolled in with basically because I cannot believe in a million years there isn't another shoe to drop here.
