Does anyone know of anywhere there's some kind of list must keep legendaries?

I've got quite a few low level ones burning a hole in my vault which I could use to dismantle for Xur buys but don't want to risk dismantling something worth keeping hold of.

Kind of disappointed with Xur. Just 4 exotics and nothing else.

Was hoping for something special on top of exotics, which I already had there of.

The change they made to only being able to infuse weapons of the same kind rather than class is so annoying. Grenade launchers galore this week but no swords.

Just checked. Mods do not carry over. The game won't let me infuse 267 exotic boots into 262 boots because there would be no improvement due to the mod not infusing as well.

So I I'm doing the Drang quest part with talking to Tyra and she keeps giving me copies of the gun. I dismantle and get endless shards and weapon materials. Known bug?

Edit: NVM I'm a huge idiot. Didn't notice I was paying her shards. Am now poor.

Has anyone done the Nightfall with the clan guide thing yet?

If this is successful, I might pick up the game, but being a solo player in D1 left a bitter taste in my mouth.

Xur's items are all 270. What a load of shit. He's always been a great source of increasing your light level.

Now? Completely useless.

Not selling any items either. So lame.

Good for those of us still at low level I suppose. I'm only 244 so some 270 gear will be nice. Presumably everyone higher than that is supposed to just get Xur wares for infusion purposes?

Also getting Legendary shards is tough - feels wrong dismantling legendary stuff, even when its worse than some of my current blue gear. Some of the bits I like best I've stuck in my vault for now for infusion later, but it does leave me low on shards.....

I did it once so far. We didn't complete the NF though because 1 member dropped lol. It worked really well aside from that though. There are entire clans dedicated to helping others apparently. The clan that helped me was called the Destiny Helping Hand.

He doesn't sell consumables either though. He's going to be useless by fucking week 3 at this rate unless you really want an exotic and you have a high level weapon/gear you don't mind infusing into it. This sucks.

What? His inventory was quite a bit lower than cap in D1, especially post TTK, for example in ROI his exotics are only 250 LL, even after AoT which boosts all other vendor items to 280.

If you are level 244, there are literally dozens of activities you can do to level up. Every blue drop should level up. For people who have hit the 265 soft cap, there are just three things we can do every week that will guarantee a drop over our light level.

Xur has always brought high level gear. Or at the very least strange coins to get high level gear. He's useless now to everyone over 270.

Not selling anything that YOU need does not make Xur "lame" or "completely useless".

If you were chasing Merciless you are probably really happy right now.

He can´t sell something that is of use for everybody every week.

Especially with how generous Destiny has become with exotics.

The more hardcore players (that´s us) will probably not get so much out of Xur this time around.

And that´s OK.

EDIT: I also don´t remember ever being able to use Xur to increase my light post Y1, no?

Yep. I wouldn't mind if he at least sold engrams or consumables at a higher price that increase your chance at higher level gear.

If he sold powerful legendary engrams at a high price I'd take it too. But selling 1 weapon and 1 armor per class at a 270 max power level is extremely meh.

Just in case you weren't aware, the 299 MIDA has a +5 Kinetic Mod on it. So your MIDA is only 294. If you don't have a Kinetic Mod on your Nameless Midnight yet, you are only going up 2 light level to 294. Your Nameless Midnight could be either 297 or 299 with a Kinetic Mod based on if you infuse it or not.

Is that +2 worth it?

Agreed 100% and I don't either past Y1.

The thing I want to rant about is getting 5, yes 5 Insurmountable Skullforts out of 5 exotic engrams. I mean come on!!

EDIT: Which raises the question do we know if engram contents are decided at decryption or drop in D2?

Pretty sure he brought level 30 gear in vanilla Destiny. You might be right about post ttk though. Iirc, it was 280 in ttk and 350 in ROI.

Still the 3oC and other items made it worth it even if you had all the items. What do you think is gong to happen in two weeks when everyone already has everything?

His existence already breaks the exotic loot system, it's a good thing that he doesn't let you bypass the entire upgrade treadmill.

Yea, I was aware. I raised it to 299 because I already got a purple mod on the Nameless Midnight, so everything is fine now lol
