Not a mod, just a bot.
This is a scheduled automated repost on behalf of Zanzura, who is running this raffle.

I am giving away 3 Steam keys. To enter this giveaway, send a PM to ModBot with any subject line. In the body, copy and paste the entire line from the message below that corresponds to the game you want. (if you include more than one game, you will be blocked from entering). Confused? Watch this GIF tutorial or ask for help.
Want to make your own ModBot giveaway? Click here for a quick tutorial thread. Please give generously.

ModBot Basics:
- I really appreciate thank you messages, but please send them to me (Zanzura, not ModBot!) via PM instead of in thread.
- Do not trade keys you win off-site to enrich yourself. Don't try to claim games you have no interest in collecting or playing. Don't claim games to give them to friends off-site.
- If the key is already taken you will not receive a reply. Replies may take a minute or two.

Rules for this Giveaway:
- This is a free for all! You can enter for multiple games on the list below. Send an individual PM for each game you'd like to win.
- This giveaway is a raffle. The winners will be selected by random draw 24 hours after the draw was created. Any games not claimed after that point will be given away first come first serve.

Steam Inventory Helper is requesting new permissions and Reddit is losing it.

SIH is really useful to me, so I'm reluctant to stop using it, but I'm not keen on having my shit sold to advertisers. What do ya'll think

I have to admit that I fairly blindly clicked to accept earlier this evening. Skimming through the linked discussion, I'm at least disabling it for now - especially as I don't actually use its functionality all that often.

Edit:
Haven't all the cool kids moved to Steam Economy Enhancer?
Switched over, cheers.

Meh, I downloaded a custom SIH version with all the shit removed, so I'm good. The downside is it doesn't update itself (it might be good in this situation, though).

What the hell, I turn on my PC and my two rear USB ports don't work (no power) but the two below those DO work. I have no idea how to fix them (no errors in device manager, not even detecting stuff)...

Uninstalled so many drivers and NOTHING has worked. Was literally fine not even 24 hours ago.

It's just a matter of connecting to a VPN and activating the key. Here's a handful of notable services that offer some sort of free option:

- F-Secure Freedome
- FlyVPN
- ProtonVPN
- TunnelBear
- VPN Gate
- VyprVPN (remember to cancel within 72 hours)

Is this.... really recommended?

I bought a Dead Rising 4 Steam key a while back ago for $13. It was redeemable in European countries only and I had a hell of a time trying to get a refund.

Have you redeemed any with this method in your 9000ish games?

They should just make Pet Pal a free bonus for your main character. Like, why would you ever not put that one point in that?

In Divinity 2: Dragon Knight Saga, there was a telepathy skill that let you read the minds of every NPC in the game. Its effects were not dissimilar to Pet Pal, giving lots of bonus XP or quest solutions. It was entirely optional and the player needn't have ever invested a single skill into it.

Larian just loves making cool stuff optional.

The green clone or download button.

Thanks. There's only a code file, a license, and a readme. I'm even more confused now.

I stumbled upon the similar problem the other day when I was looking for Steam auto shutdown program. I found it on Reddit but it was exactly like this one, no exe file whatsoever. I had to google the program name + exe to finally find the 'release page' of the program in Github, with the download button this time.

You need Greasemonkey or Tampermonkey in your browser, then follow this link and you should be prompted to install the script.

EDIT: to add a little more information, SEE is an userscript, basically a program that runs in your browser and it's active on specific websites only. To install a userscript, you need a userscript manager for your browser (the monkey stuff) and from there it's all automatic.

Yeah, it's been downloaded but I'm not sure what to do with the files inside the zip.

So, I need greasemonkey? Now that's a name that I haven't heard in a very long time. I only install addons through chrome/firefox webstore nowadays.

You don't have to download anything from github. Just install Greasemonkey (it's an userscript manager) and then follow the link in my previous post. This will prompt Greasemonkey to install the userscript and you're done.

Guys and gals I have a question. A couple times recently, and again today, I've opened my Steam client and had new cards in my inventory, despite not playing or even idling in those games. I don't even have those games installed...

Could something be going on here? I've never had any problem logging in or any other signs that something could be wrong.

Any thoughts would be great. Thanks.

For you.

The way cards work now is that when they are added to a game, they will be given to you as soon as they go live if you've played enough hours before the cards got added.
