Hoping they announced its not called Red Dead Redemption 2... but something akin to the other naming conventions from the two previous titles...god please don't be a Marston sequel!!
EDIT: I hope they go way back into the 19th..a Marston cameo would be cool, but RS can fuck right on off if its really called Red Dead Redemption 2.
No its not.. please don't diminish the meaning of naming conventions just because you don't care..I do, plus I'm a writer..a name is everythingWhy? It's just a name.
No its not
Don't do this to yourself They're gonna release a 2 minute story trailer like the "My Name is John Marston" trailer. That's if we're lucky!

I expect a full fledged gameplay trailer in January/February. Something like this

lol!! Money?!..thats not even my concern, RS could've called it anything, doesn't change my perceptions on naming conventions. getting into a debate with you or others on my opinion is not my intention... just fucking hate - and even more fucking hate that title if it has nothing to do with the Redemption - which ended fine..Jack got his vengeance, end of story lets move on.You're right, it's not. It's a name that's already gonna make them a ton of cash, so it makes sense to call it RDR 2.

The Rockstar Games label was founded in 1998 to create the most innovative and progressive interactive entertainment. Publishers of such popular game franchises as Grand Theft Auto, Midnight Club, Red Dead Redemption, Max Payne, Bully, Manhunt and more.
I don't think they're calling it "Red Dead Redemption 2" just because it's related to the first "Red Dead Redemption".
I think they want the franchise to be recognized as "Red Dead Redemption" Like "Grand Theft Auto".
There will be Red Dead Redemption 3, 4, 5... regardless of whether the plot is related or not.
From TakeTwo's homepage
Thats.....pretty fucking stupid. Red Dead is a better franchise title.

Oh boy! Can't wait.
Hopefully we'll see footage from PS4 Pro and/or X1X
It will be RDR Online trailer showing Battle Royal mode XD
Hopefully it still has a single player mode.
I wonder if this is when we'll finally get some actual previews
The last part is that Game Informer's EIC Andy McNamara retweeted Rockstar's announcement:

GI covers typically occur on the first Tuesday of the month. I could see next week's reveal being a trailer and then a full blowout with a GI cover the week after.Kinda having doubts it's actually a new trailer but rather something like a reveal for Game Informer's November issue.
First, it's kind of weird not to specifically state a new trailer is coming Thursday When in the past Rockstar has always explicitly mentioned and hyped up a trailer release for Max Payne 3, GTAV and even RDR2's announcement trailer:

Secondly, even though Reiner tweeted out that "Thursday should be fun" somebody did ask him if it was a cover reveal for October's issue. He said "No" but then October's issue was Shadow of War and has been on shelves awhile now. lol

I mean honestly I'd be more hyped for a GI reveal. It means we would get new art and pages of new screens and full details along with GI providing a months worth of coverage on their site. It also could see Rockstar dropping a second trailer, if they don't on Thursday, in October during the coverage similar to how it went down for GTAV's GI cover story.

I'm ready for more landscape porn
Slow motion shots
And some sexy dialogue
Oh and more of that soundtrack.
Nope. McNamara confirmed the next issue won't be RDR2:

Gotta be at least a trailer then.
New trailer, release date and PC announcement!
A writer should know how to properly use an ellipsis, and that they contain three dots not two. So I guess this is a round about way of asking what anime fanfic you write.
It's gonna talk about Red Dead Online, my friend recently got a letter from Rockstar asking to seize one of his domains that he made around the time RDR2 got announced.
that doesn't make any sense at all. why does that mean the trailer is gonna talk about RDRO?
they own Red Dead and "your friend" had no right to make that domain so they have seized it. It's no secret they are making a Red Dead Online so yeah they don't want anyone else using it.
hey maybe they will show off Red Dead Online but just because the domain was seized doesn't mean that's what the trailer is gonna be about.
Well, for sure they're gonna share more than just RDRO, but I say that because the timing just feels really close.
Of course I can be completely wrong and they just announce a release date and show off some gameplay, but I feel like it's going to be that case where Rockstar is going to release two trailers again, one for the story and the other for online, just like they did for GTAV.
Also why did you quote "your friend"?
well the way you made it sound was that it was gonna be about just Red Dead Online. it's a bit stupid to assume that based on a domain being seized.
and because i don't believe it was your friend.
Imagine Rockstar Editor/Director Mode from GTAV in RDR2
Ah good, at least we can scratch this from the hype list.
I'm expecting a solid trailer and a May 2018 release date. Don't think that it will be a delay simply because why would you hype up a delay with an announcement and a trailer?
With the success of GTAV online and there being disappointment with no single player story expansions, im thinking Take Two does something with RDR 2 that as far as I know has never been done before - not one but two "passes".
The first pass would be an "online season pass" which would consist of online only stuff including maps, items, weapons, etc. and the second pass would be a "story expansion pass" which would consist of two single player story expansions that would be released in 2019.
Of course, this is just my own personal wild out there idea that popped into my head while watching ACG's current international podcast and they were talking about what we could see on the 28th. I do believe that if there's a developer that could push it effectively despite people hating the publisher, it's Rockstar.
