As a Chicago fan who came into adulthood after the MJ era (I was 12 in '98), It's so weird following a team that has continued success. I'm ready for another postseason run.

it will be even weirder in a year or two if the white sox rebuild goes according to plan and there are two great chicago teams at the same time.

I can't think of to many times both the white sox and cubs made it to the playoffs.

Terrible Terry Collins doesn't want to retire.

I applaud the man's stance on wanting to work until he's 70, but he's had a nice, long run as the Mets' manager and it's time for him to do something else.

Let Collins take tickets, fire the team trainers (into outer space), and make some kind of financial effort to improve this team.

If the Mets can't be good next year, at least they should be healthy and managed by someone new.

God, Cody Allen is such trash. He will cost the Indians big time in the playoffs.

I do have some concern with him and Shaw going into the playoffs. Both have looked shakey lately.

I've always felt that way about Shaw, though, but for some reason every baseball journalist loves talking about how underrated he is. And Tito seems to love him. Trust in Tito I guess.

Has only happened twice: 1906 and 2008. I can't wait until '19-'22 or so when there'll be chances for it to happen again (keeping the dream of a crosstown WS alive), will be chaos

Welp, Brewers need to win out and the Rockies need to lose out in order to make the playoffs. It's not entirely out of the realm of possibility since the Rockies end the year against the Dodgers, but I don't see the Brewers sweeping the Cardinals

Dodgers have nothing to play for now so your Brewers are pretty much toast.

You're good people.

Cubs had theirs last year, now it's our turn. <3

If the Cubs lose this playoff, I hope its against the Tribe in the World Series.

Cards management needs to fire Matheny and tell fans that next year is a rebuilding year
The mounds of salt from my fellow cardinals fans is too much for me

A Red Sox/Cubs WS would be the best. Two teams with massive WS droughts trying to finally win again.

That would be great for baseball ratings. Although a rematch with Cleveland would be cool too. I'm so curious to see how this first series pans out.
