Pretty sure the talks were happening no matter what, but Fortnite may have pushed them to make this announcement at least.
Yup. Microsoft won't be pleased.
My understanding is that deals like these prevents developers from openly talking about the "other" version/port. Hence, they were playing coy.I don't think they are shook, but I think they realize how stupid it is to play coy about this like they were doing earlier.
Deal with MS is why that's happening. Why at the bolded? Playstation has early access games, I think the Publisher just have to release a physical disc also
Fortnite (a.k.a. competition) is just what Bluehole needed.
Yeah, releasing the game a year from now, months after Xbox and PC, will be too late. Everybody will have moved on to the AAA version of it.
My understanding is that deals like these prevents developers from openly talking about the "other" version/port. Hence, they were playing coy.
Deal with MS is why that's happening.
You guys realize this is old news and has been said even before Fortnite BR was a thing, right?
I don't think they are shook, but I think they realize how stupid it is to play coy about this like they were doing earlier.

Because they have like 0 free resources and managing 3 separate platforms is fucking hard when they can barely manage PC.Why at the bolded? Playstation has early access games, I think the Publisher just have to release a physical disc also
Openly? Source plz.You guys realize this is old news and has been said even before Fortnite BR was a thing, right?

The only conclusion I can make is that they are really afraid of conceding PlayStation market to competitors, namely Fortnite. Then why talk about it now? Surely that's some sort of breach?
Yeah that's what I was saying. Exclusivity until it is out of early access.I know they have a deal, Unless you are saying they deal with MS is that they keep exclusivity for the entirety of early access
Why at the bolded? Playstation has early access games, I think the Publisher just have to release a physical disc also
This game is going to be fucking massive once it hits consoles.
No they are definitely shook.
Never. We don't care about PUBG, when are we getting cup heads on PS4?
The game sold in excess of 13 million copies in half a year and has so many concurent players that Bungie stoped putting player numbers publicly for Destiny 2. Its massive as it is and a rare phenomenon, it does not need consoles for that.
Many console players keep repeating this, but they all seem to forget its a game throughly and utterly designed for playing with mouse and keyboard. The models you need to hit are tiny, made for viewing up close on a computer monitor. The inventory is designed for drag n drop, with a mouse. The sudden apearance of an enemy in close proximity needs the kind of reaction and speed only a mouse provides. The game has shootouts at immense ranges where you need to hit targets quarter of a pixel big.
So the games requires a huge redesign in gameplay and rebalance in order to be enjoyable and even playable on a controller. Unless they nail that feel and use console players are accustomed to, this will be far from huge on consoles.
Openly? Source plz.
Never.
If that was the case they would have realized it much sooner. Tomb Raider situation happened more than a year ago. For them the main thing that has changed is Fortnite.Like I said. I don' think they are shook. Either way they are ceding ground because it's launching later on PS4.
I just think they realize it's stupid to play coy about this shit. Especially after the Tomb Raider situation.
Source?
No they are definitely shook.
We literally already knew it would be coming to PS4 after the full release. This isn't new.If that was the case they would have realized it much sooner. Tomb Raider situation happened more than a year ago. For them the main thing that has changed is Fortnite.

Im sure them not relasing on a console is better than getting taken to court by MS for breach of contractI'm sure that 60+ mils userbase will make them change their mind.
We found the elite PC gamer!!!!!
Yea I never trust a business Microsoft loves that MHDR(?) Keeps saying never, but honestly that is probably part of a deal unless Microsoft published it.I'm sure that 60+ mils userbase will make them change their mind.
Openly? Source plz.
Yeah sure, that's why we have exclusive content on Destiny 1 and 2.Sony doesnt have a "Parity or add more clause" like Microsoft does
A marketing deal isnt the same as a game relasing later on the platformYeah sure, that's why we have exclusive content on Destiny 1 and 2.
They're not shook. They built a 12mm user base from nothing in six months. It's not like they didn't know there would be competition sooner rather than later.
That Fortnite push maybe?
One has nothing to do with other. This Colin Moriarty level of nonsensical argument.Yeah sure, that's why we have exclusive content on Destiny 1 and 2.
And which competition would that be? Fortnite Zombies?
