Well, duh. People thinking this was going to be a Xbox console exclusive haven't paid attention in the last 3 years.
I am talking about openly saying the words PlayStation 4. This is the first time. They have avoided saying that until now. From past experience, devs of timed exclusive games generally avoid openly talking about other console(s) before the game is out on the console it is announced for.

Point is, they weren't talking about the PS4 version until a shit ton of people were playing and praising Fortnite Battle Royale.
I mean you can't just snap your fingers and release a game. MS sent resources and devs to help port the game to Xbox and that'll just be the EA version. Are Sony gonna send devs to assist once Xbox version is done

I sort of see what you're doing here in the name of console wars but yeah, PUBG is a clunky game, period. It's janky, it has one map, and no, it's not a GOTY candidate for me.

Nah you didn't. Fortnite Zombies is not competition to PUBG, Fortnite Battle Royale is though.
I am sure that's what the current negotiations are about, but I am not sure how keen Sony is about sending in their guys.

I feel many on this board figured this out, but you'd be surprised with how some fanboys convinced themselves that PUBG would not come onto the PS4.
But all these friends of people here that are buying a XB1X just for this game.

Good. I'll be happy to play this on a platform where it doesn't run like DOO-DOO. PC version is straight ass for me for the first 5 minutes of a match.
That said, I hope it stays on Xbox exclusively for a bit. It needs it lol

I see it now, but when I read your initial reply I was just confused by the wording, but yeah, you're right. FN:BR has only just come out, and already the majority of what I've seen has been positive about the game. Hell, I wasn't expecting to have as much fun as I am with the game.
The PC version kinda suggests that it may run like ass everywhere though. It's not like Ark magically started running sensibly when ported.

Well, since MS dont own the IP and have no console exclusivity deal, I would say its nice to want things.
There's obvious hardware issues with Switch, but I'm willing to bet Bluehole (PUBG Corporation now I guess?) would find some way to have a lower spec version of it on Switch, as that would sell gangbusters too.

Sounds like its a ways off. Their focus is probably on the PC version and Xbox version at this point. MS has been giving them resources to help with the game as well. I doubt they will be able to use that when moving the game to the PS4. My guess is like end of 2018. Really all depends on when version 1.0 of the game is out.

Of course it is nice to wants things. But at this moment anything is possible. We'll see what ends up happening. I still say that Microsoft should have forked the money out to make PUBG a PC and Xbox exclusive.

It could be false, but we don't have anything else to go by and Capcom's history has been sketchy at best. Of course it could also be attributed to Capcom's poor judgment when it comes to most of their decisions in the last couple of years.

Do people think Bluehole was not going to release a PS4 port until Epic released fortnite BR? If they weren't releasing a PS4 port of the game, why would the PS4 port of fortnite impact their decision. I'm not following the logic.
The game is a 10+ million seller on PC already and it hasn't launched. MS isn't investing enough money to keep this game off Sony's platform.

Then I guess I should just say that MS paid Ubisoft to keep Assassins Creed Origins off of Switch cause you know, we have nothing else to go by. Why would it not be on switch, clearly because of MS and not hardware limitations or anything right?
The source of the rumor had wrong info in there and it was hearsay from a friend of his. Sony would never go for an exclusivity deal that prevents a game from coming out on one console, but is launching on a rival console platform simulataneously. That is enough proof and logic needed to debunk the rumor.
If it was just coming out on pc a the same time, that'd be a different story. But Xbox as well. Yeah, no exclusivity deal.

It's not that they weren't considering a PS4 version. It's that the game is a timed-exclusive for Microsoft and usually these kind of announcements are never made until the game has already come out on that console. PUBG is still not out on Xbox One.
Yeah, they didn't seem to be in a big rush to get the game on the PS4, but now that Fortnite has diligently given them a good kick to the dick they are scrambling to pay lip service to that giant userbase that has now found something very similar to what they were offering.
I wonder how badly that timed exclusivity is going to damage their bottom line. I hope they got paid well for it.

The logic is more along the lines of, the game was already slated to arrive on PS4, but Bluehole had been incredibly dodgy about whether or not it was going to. The fact that FNBR has released to a surprising amount of positivity kinda pushed them to make a statement about whether it was an Xbox exclusive or not.
Maybe it was you that made Capcom keep the game off Switch. I mean... can you prove you didn't?

Guys, I did not mean to turn this into console war stuff. Just going by what the rumor said. At the end of the day, yes, it is a rumor and it could very well be wrong.
As for the game itself, I would love for it to be on Switch but not sure how the system itself would be able to handle 100 players online at the same time and I haven't seen anything that would show me that it wouldn't have any problems doing it. Hopefully is it possible, but either way, I'll grab it on the Xbox One once it is out.
Medium-Medium low on default PS4 and XB1 I'm thinking.
Medium high on PS4 Pro and Scorpio?

Because I'm a PS4 preferential player who wants XBOX to succeed as well. Nobody loses when multiple consoles are doing great. My Xbone hardly gets use. Pragmatism like this shouldn't be offensive to people, honestly
