Anyone here have the Buffy Season 8 library editions or Omnibus? What is the difference and which is the better buy?

Also, where was the Aztec joining the Justice League announcement?

Red Hood and the Outlaws is pretty good. Just finished vol. 2. The scene where
Bizarro flies an exploding Akila into space was very powerful. Extremely good call regarding the choice to go without dialogue.

I have the LEs. They're pretty good.

Okay, DC. You can all my fucking money.

Jeff Lemire was just announced coming back to DC a couple months ago and he's already got Hawkman Found one-shot with an eventual series, The Terrifics, and Inferior 5. He must've missed them.

And you know that's how bad his Marvel run was.

It's not happening. Legacy is their DCYou. You got another six months to a year before they have anything to really right the ship, if at all.

Ding ding ding.

There's no indication that DC You was intended as a stopgap like Legacy clearly is. It just ended up becoming one retroactively, because it was such an abject failure that DC had no choice but to try again with another linewide relaunch a year later.

Johns and DiDio have said that Rebirth didn't come together until after NYCC 2015, in response to the poor reception their panels there got. That's still a pretty short timeline for putting together a linewide relaunch - it just miraculously ended up working for them this time.

Batman: Last Knight
Snyder's "Last" Batman story with art by Sean Gordan Murphy.
Batman suddenly wakes up and he’s... young. But he wakes up in this post-apocalyptic wasteland, crawling out of the sand in this Gotham City that’s been ruined. He’s got the Joker’s head chained to his belt, but it’s alive and like, ‘You gotta move, kid!’ It’s got old Wonder Woman, Baby Superman—it’s like my Lone Wolf and Cub Batman story.
I'm sorry, did someone post about this already?

DCYou was rough. I only read four books from that, and I only read two of those for their full run.

Rebirth was like "HERE'S ALL OF THE DC. FUCKING READ IT."

So I realized I had about 5 Marvel Unlimited month codes sitting around that I never used. From those 'get a month for $.99' sales they did several months/maybe years back.

Anyway, I try to go on the website and when I click on redeem a gift code, I get an error message, as if that part of the site no longer works. Tried it in the app as well with the same result.

Do they no longer allow the use of gift codes?

It reminds me of the annual that I know had Murphy and I believe Snyder wrote it about future Batman and him essentially being eternal
by cloning himself

Forget which book that was actually in

Wasnt that this Batman machine that Bruce used after he lost his memory and needed to get the trauma one does need to be a true Batman?

Axel: Can we please a book about my favorite singer please?

DC: Lemire, what do YOU want to do?
Lemire: Peacekeeper, my favorite as a kid.
DC: DONE.

Reminds me of when Ben Percy was talking about the process they did for every Rebirth book. About how Johns brought writers in and talked about what made the characters what they were. It just seems like DC was trying to make it feel as genuine as possible coming from those writers.

Future's End

Ian Flynn will still write Sonic comics for IDW. First 4 issues are out in April and then the book goes monthly.

Archie really messed up

What astounds me is DC right now was Marvel 4 years ago

Future's End

Wasn’t it the Detective #27 anniversary book?

Holy shit the concept of Orlando and Sook's The Unexpected sounds dope:
A new New Age of DC Heroes book with Steve Orlando and Ryan Sook was announced, called Unexpected “This is the expendables meets the Dark Tower…or maybe more Seven Samurai, meets The Dark Tower. It’s people coming together to overcome MASSIVE mistakes in their life, maybe things that even seem unforgivable.” The team is Neon the Unknown, a blind artist who is the second hero with that name, Firebrand, a first responder who was injured during Metal that now has a problem where if she doesn’t get into a fight every 24 hours, Viking Judge, a character Orlando described as Brienne of Tarth inside the head of someone from Girls, and Ascendent, a brand new character that will introduce a new race of characters to the DCU.

#BlessJeff

He's adding so many great books to DC. Also love the idea of it being set in DC's 80's. It's badass that a canon for the universe can work it can have it's own time period for others to use as a setting. I wonder how many comics in the last few years have used such a concept.

Guys, what's good in this Oni sale outside of Scott Pilgrim. I'm not really familiar with their stuff.

Also, what good Image series have popped up in the past year? Stopped following this thread a while back, and in turn fell off keeping up with Image's newer slate of stuff, even if I'm already familiar with their "older" stuff.

Einchy

semen stains the mountaintops
Finally getting around to reading the backlog, this Captain Phasma comic is really good 2 issue in. Really liking the way the artist draws her.

Saga #47

The brother dying was sad as hell. I was hoping, even though I knew there was no chance, that he would stick around since he worked so well with Hazel.

Darth Vader continues to be way better than the last Vader comic.

Do we know who is going to be doing the art for Star Wars once the new artist takes over? I hope the only reason Salvador Larroca stayed on was because Jason Aaron liked him or something and the new writer gets an actual decent artist.

I like Lost at Sea, Local, Ivy, Hopeless Savages, Lucky Penny, and Bad Machinery (though you can read this on John Allison's site for free). Check those out and see if any of them are of interest to you.

Yeah I'm in. Day 1.

That JL trailer! Why am I getting hyped. Why do I keep doing this to myself.

Except for Naruto jutsu Flash. What is he doing...

Really liked the trailer, still, everything in the last sequence where Egos SpaceGoo falls on the DCEU earth and everyone flew around like gravity doesnt exist looks super akward and strange.

Still, waiting for the reviews before deciding to watch this, but I hope its going to be good.

I think the reviews wont be nearly as harsh as for BvS, alone for the fact what happened to the Snyders.

And this doesnt imply that I have the opinion that if the movie turns out very good, its alone because Zacks daughter died, I just think that the reviewer will try to be a bit nicer this time.

I would also add Queen & Country and Stumptown to that list.

I don't think you understand how little mercy the average moviegoer possesses. They will be brutal.

I am not talking about the average joe on Neogaf, I am thinking about the professional reviewers. And yeah, everyones a critic, but the professionals who earn their money for that will be way nicer.

Really? Because sometimes they aren't very lenient, either. Though they won't say the fucked-up shit that the average person might.

That's it! I just redownloaded it. The story is called twenty-seven and it was Snyder/Murphy
I could have sworn it was the Batman Future's End issue. He breaks into LexCorp to get something that will allow him to perfect his Bat clones. Despite Alfred telling him to just let it all go, since the Bat Family exists and they won't need him anymore. He can't let go though.
"You got yourself a good man, there, a real hawk man."
Guaranteed he has someone tell Plastic Man that he really is a plastic man. Or Mr. Terrific that he really is terrific.

Queen & Country has already been mentioned.
