Do we have an exact time for when the patch is going live? Want to beat o3s before it becomes easy mode. How many hours away are we?

Servers go down Monday night a 9PM Pacific, so just shy of 48 hours from now, and the patch will be live when they come back up 6 hours later.

But this is a catchup-patch; the current Savage fights aren't getting nerfed/echo'd yet. Normal mode will have the loot lockout removed, the primal will have 335 weapons that are a step up from what you can get now without clearing 3S, and upgrade items will become available from the 24-man, but the actual Savage fights, Savage loot lockouts, and item level cap aren't changing at all. That won't happen until 4.2.

Sorry - by easier I meant; now that getting i330 is easier, end game content won't pose as much of a challenge.

But hold up. The 24 man raid won't be dropping new i330 gear? Only glaze and twine to upgrade Creation gear to i340? Damn!!

I'm thinking about testing the game out with a trial and then purchasing the game. Does the 30 days that come with the game purchase tack on after the trial is over?

I just started working on Fisher. Is there a site that has maps to all the fishing spots? I don't want to have to try to find them myself.

It will, but this far into the tier everyone's had time to get 330 from Creation anyway for most slots and get a bunch of 340 gear from 1 and 2. The biggest changes will be 340 pants/chests and the 335 primal weapons, but those won't substantially alter the fight.

It's a fun fight and I'm all for people pushing to beat it, I just don't see the 4.1 upgrades as having much of a meaningful impact.

24 man will drop 330 gear, they just haven't shown it at all yet. (You can get some glimpses at a few pieces in the trailer but I can't recognize it from anything)

O3S won't be completely trivialized for awhile yet, and for most groups it's already considerably easier. When they add echo and increase the item level in 4.2 is when it's trivialized.

With the trial you're free to play any class up to 35 with no time limit, so there's no real ending to the trial. Once you buy the base game then you have 30 days added and you can do the rest of the A Realm Reborn content which goes up to 50. If you're enjoying yourself as you're reaching the end of the ARR story, I'd recommend picking up Stormblood, which includes the previous expansion Heavensward, since your XP gain stops once you reach 50.

Thanks for the confirmation. Would I have to update through square's website or could I buy the game from Amazon and apply that to the account that used the trial?

You should receive a code when you purchase the base game which you then can register to your trial account via the Mog Station website. It doesn't matter if you get the game off of Amazon or through Square's site, just pick whichever is cheaper.

If you do intend to eventually sub, then make sure you ask someone in here for a friend referral code. Of course you don't have to, but both you and your referrer get some nice goodies. The deadline for that is when you first pay for a sub and does not include the free 30 days you get with the base game.

Welp, time to start exploring Shirogane in preparation for the Tuesday madness.

Also this week I begin raiding as RDM. I"ve been healer since 2.0 and with Unending Coil there I'm nervous.

Finally got to Neo Exdeath and I think I'm done puging. O3S was a great fight, but I'm not sure I can deal with bullshit players again on O4.

Got around to Susano and Lak Ex today, cleared, they were fun. Going to try o3s tomorrow with the FC and then I'll be satisfied before 4.1. Unending ....... gives me the heeby jeebies. So glad to have found an awesome FC

I probably won't get to run raid Tuesday night with GAF. I would like to, but I can't really do anything with groups until around 11:00 right now. My dad had a knee replaced a few days ago and my mom can't get him off the couch by herself. I can't really do anything that needs my full attention until after they go to bed.

ultimate coil is probably going to be a 30 or 40 minute fight if you actually have to fight the entirety of their fights + whatever other stuff they put in

It looks like if I registered for the Relm Reborn beta back in the day, I'm not able to register for the trial. That's a bummer..

Just took a few hours this weekend to blast the last 25 levels of Botanist to reach 50.
Feels weird to speed through it all then be stopped dead by the wait for an unspoiled node that won't appear until 9. :p

Finally. I've gotten all the crafting classes to 50. Now, I need to find out the best way from 50 to 70. I got BSM to 60 with Moogle quests, but that took forever.

You don't even have to touch leves to get a crafter from 50-60. I did it just with Moogle dailies. Sure, it's a bit slower, but I personally don't have the patience for crafting leves past lv50.

How hard do you guys think it'll be to get an apartment in Shirogane? I'm not rich enough to afford an actual plot, but I kind of want to get at least a tiny slice of the new residential area.

I've resubbed with the aim of getting a small plot in Shirogane. This won't get terribly.

Oh I also did the ShopTo promotion to get the eastern stuff, because cloud mount.
