You can get into your account and change emails without the confirmation. It'll then resend the confirmation.

Thanks GAF, I enjoyed my stay very much starting from 2012 when I first heard about you via EDGE up until the meltdown last weekend. You made me often laugh, got me very excited a lot thanks to your coverage of all things gaming and sometimes you managed to upset me (yes, I got banned once, too). You were on my side nearly everyday and the reason why I stopped consuming other print or online gaming media. I depart with a heavy heart, but at the same time I'm happy for my venture into a new era with all the others.

That was definitely a problem. You have to be extreme one way or the other apparently. But that applied to many issues that were discussed here, not just political. I avoided posting in political threads here like the plague and if it's all the same people over there now, I would imagine if you lean right, you're immediately a Nazi sexist. No debates on the issue. I haven't checked the political threads but my guess is that's still the mindset.

That's too bad, I doubt I'd be anymore comfortable there.

I use Discord infrequently, but I do have an account and would love an invite if possible. The new forums look great, and it looks like the activity and quality of dialogue there have already surpassed that of GAF in its current state. It will only get worse when RE will re-open the registrations. I'm sure there are plenty of old-time lurkers like myself who are patiently waiting for it since we are too old for all this discord thing.

I got my golden ticket a few hours ago, myself. Still have my reservations about the new site; already shaking my head thumbing through their new OT section. The echo chamber is tighter than ever, but with zero real opposition of any kind, the dogpiling and mob lynchings haven't started up yet. Though one guy did get shit on for recounting a story of how a fake sex assault charge almost ruined his life... it didn't fit in with the OP's narrative.

Still planning on sticking around here too, but if it dies... it dies.
