Like amateur porn vs professional porn?Won't Kojima's desire to use real life actors and actresses be costly for Sony should they wish to make sequels and keep continuity? I personally prefer it when video game characters only exist in the video game world. For me, that's what makes characters such as Solid Snake, Sam Fisher etc endearing and authentic - that they are solely the product of the video game world and aren't involved in the scandal and messiness that characterises real life and modern celeb culture . Seeing all these celebrities appearing in games kind of takes something away.
Lol, never thought of it like that.Like amateur porn vs professional porn?
Maybe Kojima already knows he doesn't want to make any sequels for this game.Won't Kojima's desire to use real life actors and actresses be costly for Sony should they wish to make sequels and keep continuity? How is something invisible if you can see it, even if it's only half?Because you can half see them and half not.
The trailer tells me that we are in front of something big.
Some posts here remind me of when a lot of publishers rejected the first Harry Potter book.
He didn't even really want to do those games though! Considering his apprehension I'd say he did alright with them. The "gameplay" trailer looked awful. Definitely avoiding this one. Kojima has become such a pretentious hack post MGS3. It's a real shame considering he was one of my favorites and the MGS series was really important to me until he destroyed it with everything after 3...
I really liked IGN's video on DS.
But as characters, they solely exist in the video game world. You're not gonna see Snake on a chat show or snapped in a magazine doing the dirty with Kendall Jenner or being exposed as a sexual deviant etc. Also, both characters aren't relying on the visual likeness, it's just the voice. When I see a celebrity in a video game, I see the celebrity first and the game character second. For me something is lost. Also you bring up Snake & Sam Fisher but those are pretty bad examples considering how attached people are to their real life voice actors. People consider them to be wrong when the real actors aren't behind them.
That is a bummer.
I really liked IGN's video on DS.
Kinda agree with this one. The trailer felt pretentious, in a David Cage manner. So many close ups on faces trying to show off "emotions" and graphics tech. The whole trailer is weird, which isn't a bad thing, but at the same time it takes itself way too seriously. The "gameplay" trailer looked awful. Definitely avoiding this one. Why does that change anything? Pretentious nonsense nonetheless...You don't get it...
You guys will regret your words and deeds after the game comes out...The tears are a chiral allergy...
This is news to me. Which actors did they use? This isn't the first Sony game that uses actual actors. Detroit and Horizon are also recent examples of using Hollywood actors.
Not sure about Horizon, but Detroit at least had Lance Henriksen, who is a moderately known actor (played for example the android "Bishop" in Aliens/Alien 3 - ironically he is human in the game). This is news to me. Which actors did they use?
Yeah, I've briefly followed both games, and I don't remember coming across any major Hollywood actors. Never knew Henriksen was in Detroit. Not sure about Horizon, but Detroit at least had Lance Henriksen, who is a moderately known actor (played for example the android "Bishop" in Aliens/Alien 3 - ironically he is human in the game).
I mean, I guess all in Detroit were actors at least to some extent, but mostly I they were no-names.
Your comments are pretentious...Why does that change anything? Pretentious nonsense nonetheless...
Come on dudeJust conjectures, full of contradictions and scientific farce, but whatever:
1. death strANDing = death and string
2. String ->
Is that why everything has string/umbilical cord ?
Is it symbolic visualization of string theory ?
Or is it a symbol of being in a unborn state?
3. Death ->
If you think of "death" as a valid state in particle physics,
then unborn babies are the opposite of deceased humans.
Middle-aged humans would be somewhere in the middle.
(is this why the ability for fast-forwarding of time is relevant? to make the victims older ?)
If you think of "life" as matter
and "death" as anti-matter,
then perhaps
unborn babies function as a temporary field that cancels out anti-matter ?
Is that why Norman is activating the baby capsule
whenever there are those shadowy creatures floating nearby?
4. Matter vs Anti-matter ->
If you think of life/soul as something that exists as matter,
then what would be the anti-matter version of life/soul ?
In E3 2018 trailer, someone on the radio says to Norman,
"Sure, you will come back, but the surrounding will still be a crater",
perhaps an explosion is caused by
matter + antimatter annihilation ?
This is from 2017 trailer:
5. Perhaps U.S. Government or CERN figured out how to
stabilize/increase the presence of anti-matter,
(NOTE: In our actual universe, there is far more matter than anti-matter.
Reasons are yet unknown.)
they did so in hope of using anti-matter explosion as a VERY efficient form of weapon.
-> theme of war and weapons again, like metal gear
But when they did that, anti-matter equivalents of human life/soul
were able to take stable presence in this universe ?
And they destroyed the areas where the U.S. government and Pentagon were located?
Perhaps all U.S. soldiers who were Killed In Action came back to this world and took their revenge ?
What would happen if U.S. soldiers killed in Vietnam War + Gulf War + Afghan War
came back as an undead army and attacked the U.S. government ?
This is from 2016 trailer:
is that a Springfield rifle?
is Mads holding a AR-15 ?
This story seems to take place in "United Cities of America"
CONCLUSION 1: This story is full of anti-war themes, told by someone who has a very good understanding of wars.
CONCLUSION 2: Norman Reedus is starring in a post-apocalyptic survival horror story again.
Come on what? This is Kojima, he lives for goofy pseudo intellectual shit like this...Come on dude
Lance Reddick for Horizon. Aloy's likeness is also based on Dutch actress Hannah Hoekstra. This is news to me. Which actors did they use?
I still think it's gonna be costly for Sony in the long run, especially as they are dealing with Kojima. We've yet to see a non-celeb character – what if he wants more Hollywood actors in the sequel? He was burning money on MGSV, so I suppose it just got me thinking about how far Sony are prepared to go.
Really good facial modeling going on, but they still have that feel of Sideshow Collectibles figurines.
Also Beyond: Two Souls had Ellen Page and Willem Dafoe. Until Dawn had famous actors too. This is news to me. Which actors did they use?

Yeah, it's been a while now and there's still no gameplay video. It once again feels as if Kojima is being obscure for the sake of being obscure with these out of context cutscenes and snippets of dialogue. It kind of reminds me of the whole "Moby Dick studios" nonsense he pulled with MGSV (To this day, I still don't understand the point of that particular stunt).I liked the previous trailers but this wasn't as impressive. We still don't really know much about the gameplay. We saw the main character walking around with big backpacks and some sneaking.
Why does Mads' face look like real life whilst others look like fake last gen trash?
Russian twitter analyzed the necklace of the woman in the trailer:
And it's related to this music video:
