Does the steam link require a special controller? $2.50 seems to good to be true
I went ahead and bought one for $10.5 it will be fun to mess around with. No, DS4 works with it. $2.50 but you have like $8 in shipping.
The site was loading really slow for me, at first I chalked it up to me being on mobile. I was able to complete my transaction though.I can't even log in lol
Speaking of which, how noticeable is the lag using steam link? I've always been afraid to take that plunge for that reason...
I was going to buy one too but my shipping is like 20$ and I don't think that's worth it.I went ahead and bought one for $10.5 it will be fun to mess around with.
The new mini-game for the event seems kind of braindead and I've already heard most people are just cheating with scripts that spawn no enemies and auto-clickers. Still, the rewards are nice

Thanks, I might consider it for casual shit then. Would be nice to game in my bedroom once in awhile...With a controller I don‘t notice any lag with my settings (Wired Internet, highest stream quality). Tested it with TV (21ms Input lag) and monitor next to each other. But it depends on the game. You may notice it with fast Paced shooters and M/KB. Image quality is good too. But not perfect.
Steam sales are kinda depressing these days. "Oh wow, 20% off". I mean, it's better than nothing, but most of the game I sort of want to buy are too expensive to make me actually buy them.
anyone having loading errors playing the mini game??
I can't recall a time when there has been less excitement for a Steam Summer sale. There were always leaks, excitement, build up. This year, nothing.
Well, that’s nice. I saw “Steam Link $2.50” and I thought “awesome, that’s worth a go”. I’ve been meaning to move my PC from the lounge room back to a dedicated room and this’ll let me still play some games from the couch.
Went to purchase. Instead of a “buy now” it has a link to EB Games, who apparently have the Australian exclusive on this product.................at $89.95.
On top of that, only about 10 games from my wishlist are on sale.
Thank you very much Valve.
You can blame that on refunds. That was the trade off. Since Steam has allowed refunds there have been no more of these "so cheap you have to buy" prices.Been this way since the sales went to shit 3-4+ years ago.

I agree. It just added to my woe.EB Games occasionally slash the price to something like $20-30, they've done the same with the Steam Controller previously. If they do it again I'll probably pick up both. But yeah it's weird the way they've set it up for us Aussies. They really don't like shipping to here unless it's in BULK.
Publishers set the prices/sales for games, not Valve, so it's not their fault if the games you want aren't on sale.
Is there any special badge this time around or is it just trading cards
Divinity Original Sin 2 down to £23.99. Tempting.
I really enjoyed the first until I got stuck and had to move on. The only reason I haven't picked the second up already is that I read it was more difficult. The first was my maiden voyage with this type of game and I found the combat tough going.Fantastic game and there's an "overhaul" coming later this year if you want to buy it and wait to play it until then.

Okay, cool, thanks. I'm in. Is it worth holding off until the overhaul? You can set the difficulty to the easiest setting. It makes the game really easy. Heck, that is what I did until my second play through since I was figuring out the mechanics.

Got FFXV and DOOM. Together they require 155GB of space... madness.
Oh, I mean I've already bought it. I'm just wondering whether or not to play through it now, or hold off until the overhaul has been implemented. It still might be better to buy it now though then wait off for the overhaul, because remember when the first game had it's "enhanced edition" released and it didn't go on sale for as low as it had before for quite some time.
I just bought Killer is Dead, Valkyria Chronicles, Final Fantasy XV, and Agarest Zero for 40 bucks.
You can't beat that.
