trump / putin News conference

Im not gonna lie, I love the wild ride we are all on.

Love it too! I voted for him because I liked his message and I wanted to see him shake up the status quo. Doing a good job (y). Knew those career politicians would kick and scream. They're terrified of him succeeding.

So when Trump walks into a room and takes a hard line with officials he gets criticized. When he is diplomatic with a country that would meet any criticism with criticism everyone loses their shit.

Sounds about right.

People seem to want Trump to walk into the room and declare war with Russia on unproven as of yet indictments. No-one would do that. No-one except Hillary Clinton would do that.

Didn't watch the conference, but even Ben Shapiro, the most conservative guy out there said this was a bad look for Trump.

It is a bad look at Trump no doubt about it. People have been instilled with fear and anxiety for 19 months and will read into it what they want. Even if people on the right see it as completely diplomatic and taking a more peaceful tone they know they are about to be in for a shit storm with the other side. They will be denegraded at home, at the office (already happened to me today and I don't even like Trump and didn't vote for him) and on their social media by people claiming they have the smoking gun.

No one wants to be that person.

If Trump had busted up in the meeting guns blazing, some/the media would have started screaming that he is going to start WW3 :D

You might want to look up the phrase "Pyrrhic Victory"

Won't put out to Merkel, but willing to take a creampie from Putin. That basically explains the foreign policy approach difference.

that's like... your opinion man
Please quote to me anything, where people after a meeting with trump have been like "trump was strong on his stance".

And I don't need a quote on the second part about being diplomatic, because he has systematically been a bitch and tweets stupid shit after the supposed "meeetings" references above.

You should do some research (like actually look at the meetings) instead of getting out of context stories from the media. Is Merkal Putin’s bitch or vice verse? Look at their natural gas trade. Why aren’t you people posing about merkal being Putin’s puppet?

That's business. Russia has cheap energy and Germany needs it.

Why do you care what people are saying, look at the source material. And his tweets are incredibly powerful and historical about today.

Some of you. people want war and so does the media.

This tweet is A+.

You can't really argue with that quote no matter who says it.

Obama would have been applauded for that quote, and won a second Nobel Peace Prize, lol.

But whether people actually believe that quote or not is obviously a different story.

To choose to believe Putin over our own FBI on the world stage. That is beyond other countries laughing at us. That is a global danger.

If Putin controls Trump well Trump controls our nukes.

“Our relationship with Russia has NEVER been worse thanks to many years of US foolishness and stupidity”

Which third-world militant thug is denouncing the US now?

Oh wait... the US President said that?

Ahahahahahaha :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

A lot of good the mightiest army in the world is when its commander-in-chief is shaming the nation.

The casualties are the highest that Russia has suffered in a single battle since fierce clashes in Ukraine in 2014 claimed more than 100 fighters’ lives. Moscow denies sending soldiers and volunteers to Ukraine and has never confirmed that figure.

The White House statement about the Trump-Putin conversation did not say anything about Assad's future.
It was the second time Assad has traveled to Russia to meet with Putin in the course of the war.

I think Congress needs to act I know it's getting rid of a Republican but it's time to put political matters aside, either you care about the country or you don't

I'm curious to you guys who support Trump what will he have to do for you to lose trust? I think he was right when he implied he could gun down someone in cold blood and people would still be praising him for owning the libtards

Act on what exactly? Are you saying it's time to form a shadow government like Philip Mudd shockingly told Anderson Cooper earlier today on CNN? You want to talk about treason....

Aren't there things like elections? Isn't there a Mueller investigation? Why are some of you acting like unhinged lunatics? Did Trump pass over the nuclear football to Putin? Did Trump sell NYC to the Kremlin?

I think the press conference today with Putin was a mistake, but the absolute melodrama I'm seeing goes beyond typical fringe lunacy and is now becoming media/social media-induced hysteria, which is hurting this country immensely.

Get a fucking grip.

Or, you know, wait for the Mueller investigation to conclude and take appropriate action? For some of you that say you love/respect this country, you sure as hell doubt the ability of its institutional processes.

Here is my take.

Trump knows Putin is lying.

Putin knows that he is full of shit.

What is really to be gained be propagating tensions between our countries, especially when what we are decrying are the very same things we have done to them previously.

When does the cycle of retaliation end?

I think a more important question is what are we doing AT HOME to ensure Russia is less successful in the future than they are perceived to have been this time around? Than to political grandstand indicting foreign nations which there is ZERO chance of ever prosecuting?

If nothing is being done to strengthen the security of our democratic republic institutions I would be much more angry about than what Trump may say at a press conference to let a dictator save face.

put all the russian stuff aside.

The white house and this administration are acting unethically and are are systematically hurting people.

The changes to the EPA, the changes to the FCC, They are denying people protections on housing.

So if you put aside the russian shit, why are the republicans in congress not acting?

The voice of reason emerges in this drama.

I don't even know what to make of it anymore. Have people just lost their fucking minds?

Elections have consequences, which is why people need to vote. I mean, why is it millions of Americans can act seemingly disinterested in politics during an election year, saying things like, "oh, I hate these nasty ads" and "ugh, another robocall," but then act like a concert of deranged loons and helpless victims when they see something that offends their sensibilities from the winner? Or worse yet...they act like they're oh so politically-involved, and yet....

The turnout for the 2016 Election was a fucking joke. An absolute joke!

But now, of course, we're hearing talk of shadow governments to unseat a LAWFULLY ELECTED President (until proven otherwise) on CNN. What the hell is going on here?

This, without a doubt, is the most self-serving, willfully-ignorant, spoiled brat country on the planet, with tens of millions of doddering idiots too dumb to read, vote, form an opinion of their own, but yet always willing to resort to victimhood, melodrama and violence.

trump can serve them trash on a plate and they'd happily eat it up and call it the best meal ever

I thought it was obvious, but I guess I'll point it out.

The space between these two things is what was allegedly used by outside influencers.

True, but that's the same for any political party, let's be honest here, humans still operate with tribalism.

So that's not really a compelling argument.

Or Dems can just win midterms and the 2020 election like you're supposed to do. Trump isn't getting impeached.
