Breath of the Wild is on Wii U, and I don't really like JRPGs. People get so defensive... but it's a fact that the Switch is far less compelling for a Wii U owner than for a non-Wii U owner in terms of the library. That's just reality. And as Yoshi stated above, we know these Nintendo ports are being handled largely in-house, which means it probably IS having at least SOME impact on new development, at least moreso than the farmed out stuff that Sony does for example. They're filling out the library, I get it; I'm sure it makes a lot of sense for them, and for the vast amounts of potential Switch customers that never owned a Wii U. But that doesn't mean Yoshi and I and others have to like it.
I can't understand the hype for Smash. I'm sure this won't be a popular statement here, and I may get a bunch of pedantic nitpicks in reply, but Smash Switch looks essentially like an enhanced Smash U port. Which is fine, and probably great for a lot of people, but that doesn't mean I have to like it. I want to want a Switch. But there's just no way I can possibly justify it at this point. (Though my son is gonna start bugging me before long... he's gonna want that damn Pokemon game...)
