Your premise assumes the Xbox One is as popular as the Switch. It is not. In Japan alone, the only place where we do have actual Xbox numbers, the Switch has sold 5.4 million units. The Xbox has sold 100,000.

If there are quite a lot of people who own an Xbox but don't login anymore that could put the number closer to 65 million sold with 6 million xboxs collecting dust.

The only thing I took away from this mess of a thread is why Microsoft would be best to continue not to release official sales numbers. The poor conduct and console warrioring is the only thing that would come about. Even more than what is already going on.

Well he really wasn’t sure, he didn’t automatically claim what was posted by the OP was the truth but he anticipated the reactions and forethcoming humor from those that “championed/defend” Sony and their reaction. He had no idea what was posted was credible or not, or even a mistranslation. Trying to say he was agreeing with the article is false and really grasping at straws.

I personally thought the article was suspect myself, and might of only been one agency’s estimate but because of the OP and how he interpreted the translation(maybe to the point of intentionally falsifying it) it really riled people up. If Gavon West is guilty of anything it’s his own reaction to it(baiting potential fanboys to react) In which case, most of us have been guilty of that with posts.
