What facts did you spew? Lol.
#1 There were a few places selling the Pro @ at nearly $100 discount on Cyber monday, if you knew where to look ( ex. Google Express $320). In fact, there were multiple Pro bundles on sale worldwide in general.
#2 Everybody & their mom was buying the spiderman bundle /s, Again, there were multiple $199 bundle sales going on everywhere for PS4. A $40 game isn't a make or break. In fact, I would reckon a lot of the sales are simply from resellers and/or people looking to make a back-end profit as usual on BF. Furthermore, they were sold out online as you noted, however, there was plenty of stock in actual stores as noted by instocknow.com if you had cared to look. They simply allotted a certain amount, with a crap ton reserved for "in-store" only. Typically holiday ploy, to get you to the actual store in hopes you buy more stuff.
#3 Nintendo still sales the switch @ $299 because it hasn't plateaued like the PS4. Which is why it's a rarity you actually see bundles deals. You're essentially debating yourself at this point lol. Under your strategy, you're saying a for-profit company such as Sony is content with sales that have plateaued? They aren't interested in selling more software & subscriptions, around the two biggest sales months of the year, especially entering into next-gen? Okay .
