Switch games to look forward to in 2019

Sorry not a thread of upcoming games rather to hear from others what there is to look forward to in 2019 for Switch. Personally for me I've never played a Metriod game so I'm looking forward to Metroid Prime 4. What are you excited about in 2019?

Looking forward to Deamon X Machina, Fire Emblem and Pokemon.
Metroid Prime 4, Bayonetta 3 and SMTV are even more exciting, at least on paper, but who knows when they'll release. I'm hoping at least one of them makes it in 2019.

Not much.😐

Luigi's Mansion 3.
Just got one for Xmas so I got a little catching up to do. Playing Mario rabbids kingdom now. Got Zelda and odyssey coming. Hopefully there will be something for me this year, since I don’t play jpgs not sure what I’ll find.

Metroid Prime 4 and Bayonetta 3.
Currently playing the first Bayonetta on pc for the first time. The game is so badass!

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.
I'm looking forward to all the Final Fantasy ports and remasters the Switch is getting next year.

VII, IX, X, X-2, XII are all coming next year, along with Crystal Chronicles.

I wish we were getting the original 6, preferably in the PSP 2D remake style.

In all honesty, I would pay $60 for such a game. Or 6 with Octopath's tileset and engine.

Not much. Every upcoming announcement is either a port or a lackluster release.

I'm amused at how no one is hyped for New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe, for example.

I am looking forward to the new Pokémon game. The last Pokémon game I played was red on the original Gameboy.

There’s also Fire Emblem and Animal Crossing. I’ve never played anything from either of those series.

(I’ve been absent from the Nintendo scene for a long time :messenger_tongue: )

That's because it is another lazy port. Nintendo should have created a new entry in the series, one that changes up the NSMB formula.

I never gave FFXII a chance when it first came out, so I think I'll pick it up when it releases.

I'm getting NSMBUD for LP purposes and Travis Strikes Again in January. I also have Tales of Vesperia preordered, hopefully I can get the Limited Edition. Later down the year, I'm interested in Yoshi's Crafted World, Fire Emblem: Three Houses, Daemon X Machina, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, Dragon Quest XI S, all Final Fantasy titles and Luigi's Mansion 3. Even if I has only the Switch, I'd still have quite a few games for next year.

I wish there was more hype for Daemon X Machina. To me its most exciting Switch game coming out in 2019.

I absolutely in love with visual design in this game.

2019 for me is Daemon X Machina, Final Fantasy IX, Dragon Quest XI, Luigis Mansion 3, Tales of Vesperia, Doom Eternal and if they release, Metroid Prime 4 and Bayo 3. There will also be a slew of games I´ve yet to try out, such as Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Octopath Traveler, Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze, New Super Mario Bros U, Bayo 1 + 2, Immortal Redneck and so on. I´d say I´m pretty covered for the next couple of years.

That looks incredible. Hope the gameplay matches the quality of the art style.

Resident Cheap Arse
Fire Emblem is a given for me. Love the series and get tons of value out of each game, but I do have to wonder if it won't get pushed back given the limited showing it's had so far.

Prime 4 - hell yes, it's Metroid.

Bayonetta 3. Never thought much of the character until I finally played Bayonetta 2 on the Wii U. Holy shit what a game. Just on the merit of it's predecessor alone they'd have to really screw up the 3rd for me not to go for it. Hell, I already bought the 2 Bayo Amiibos in anticipation of the new game.

There are quite a few others that may well get a purchase but the above 3 are at present the ones I'm most looking forward to and am pretty much guaranteed to buy.

Smash.

Digimon Survive

Away: Journey to the Unexpected

And of course all the titles already mentioned ( Fire Emblem and Daemon X Machina are the two big ones for me)

Fire Emblem Three Houses
Wargroove
Dragon Quest XI
Dragon Quest Builders 2
Metroid Prime 4 (if it comes out next year)

There's a lot to look forward to, those are just the biggest releases to me.

Bayonetta 3! I wonder if it will link into 1 and 2 or will be an entirely new saga?

Luigi's Mansion 3. Hoping it's more like the First game and less of the second (I feel that the second game was mission based due to being on a Portable. I wouldn't mind it as a separate mode though)

Dragon Mark for Death.

And hoping for some surprises along the way as you do with Nintendo. Hoping for another Pikmin game and Advance Wars.

Bayonetta 3
SMTV
Metroid Prime 4
Pokemon
Damean X Machina
Fire Emblem: Three houses
Yoshi's Crafted World
Animal Crossing
Luigi's Mansion 3 (possibly)
Ace Attorney Trilogy
Dragon Quest XI
My friend Pedro
Streets of Rage 4
Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night
Digimon Survive

Personally, I'm also getting No More Heroes: Travis Strikes Again. It's not a mainline game, but it does look interesting from a twin stick gaming perspective.

Alexios

Cores, shaders and BIOS oh my!
If anyone really really cares about zoids then maybe this 3D fighter...

No other thread to post that in really, rather than totally fitting here...

Nothing announced has my interest other than maybe Fire a Emblem if it has the easy mode options that Awakening and Birthright had (I don’t like the gameplay but like the stories).

Metroid Prime 4 and Animal Crossing are the main ones that may come out that have my interest. A Mario Maker port or sequel would be great too.

Then I'm in the same boat as you. Not a big jrpg fan. Smash is the only game I use my switch for
Have you tried Mario Rabbids? I am hooked on it right now. Thinking of trying dead cells even though it doesnt seem like my kind of game.

I need news, gameplay, anything about Metroid Prime 4, Bayonetta 3 and Fire Emblem. I like the switch but god damn, it has underdelivered for me.

Haven't had a chance to play it. I like the turn base style. I'll pick it up one of these days. I still have to finish spooderman and rdr2. While trying to keep my smash score up

Animal Crossing, Metroid Prime, and Pokemon are all due for 2019, right? If those all make it, that'll be a hell of a year, essentially on a par with Mario and Zelda back to back in 2017.

Shame they can't pace these things better now that they don't have to support two consoles. This year being a complete draught bar Smash Bros was pretty surprising. I essentially put my Switch into mothballs.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses is the 'big' one for me in 2019, but I'm also looking forward to Dragon Marked For Death (Jan 31) and Downwell (Jan 31).

Games that might come out this coming year I am very interested in Dragon Quest Builders 2, Daemon Ex Machina, Yoshi Crafted World, Bayonetta 3, and Dragon Quest XI S.

As soon as we get some dates in Directs I can look at budgeting time and money around these, Anthem, and Sekiro.

It's likely being sent to die so Nintendo won't be forced by the business side to make 2D Mario anymore.
