Let's just reverse this statement she made about A Wrinkle in Time:
""I don’t need a 40-year-old black chick to tell me what didn’t work about A Wrinkle in Time," said Larson. "It wasn’t made for her. I want to know what it meant to men of whiteness, straight men, to teen men of whiteness"
Suddenly she's the head of the KKK. Now you're going to say that she didn't make this quote for the Captain Marvel press junket, so we can do that one too:
“About a year ago, I started paying attention to what my press days looked like and the critics reviewing movies, and noticed
it appeared to be overwhelmingly black female,”
Anyone making that statement and claiming it was a problem would no longer have a career. Go ahead and pretend that isn't true. Or come back with something about how white people are the oppressors and it's ok to say these things because, "it's all about punching up!"
