Shouldn't she also declare that men shouldn't go to see her movie to make point ?
Trolls Are Already Review Bombing Captain Marvel on Rotten Tomatoes - ScreenRant
And they've already started pushing fake news.

Except... if you actually look at the page, there are bunch of 5 star ratings and a single 3.5 rating.

I wasn't going to see the movie but then I heard trolls are mad online so I will spend 20 bucks to spite the trolls! Haha!
Is that a real thing?
It rules the world right, can't beat em, join em. Now he can donate even more to charity and obtain generational wealth or whatever.
.
Colin Kaepernick, former nfl quarterback is really struggling.
It just seems like a crazy and toxic way to try and market your product.
This is an amazing and hilarious marketing strategy.
Used to be that movies would come out with snippets of good reviews.
You know, "it's a fun-filled romp for all the family, 5 out of 5".
You just knew though that a lot of the magazines and websites were corporate shills but positive buzz could still get you interested.
I'm sure it put a fair few bums in seats at the end of the day.
Now, it's like a strange opposite.
"Only Russian bots hate this movie!"
"Negative reviews are just Alt-Right trolls."
"Misogynists gave this 2 out of 5 stars, don't believe them."

I could see the point if they were in competition with something else, almost.
Like, "Sega does what Nintendon't". It's funny and there's a logic to it.
Surely this style of promotion doesn't do much for the movie?
Or is there really a market out there that will buy tickets for something if you successfully convince them that it makes "trolls" and "manbabies" mad?

It's not just Brie but the ads to the movie. The superbowl ad, the other ad with a her o, etcIt seems to me like the movie itself isn’t even centered around SJW propaganda, yet Brie herself seems to be taking a voluntary and unnecessary antagonistic approach to her promotion of it.
Did Wonder Woman cast do anything like this?
Does that mean as a white male I'm not allowed to see it? I almost got into a fight during the opening night of Black Panther because I was being accosted by a black male who claimed that as a white man who bought a ticket I was taking up a spot that could have gone to someone black and I guess more deserving. I never had this kind of shit happen with either of the first two Blade films. I just like comics and comic related media. I just wanted to watch a superhero movie

2019 is a fucked up time to be a human being. I'm so sick of everything, and luckily since I don't use twitter/IG or basically any social media stuff I avoid a good amount of the crazy. But to try and tell you you are less deserving of seeing a movie cause of your race, is well racist. I won't be seeing CM, but that's because A)I don't care about the character and B}Bries insane hatred of white males and making this a SJW thing heavily annoys me.
Seems like vapid virtue signaling. If she really cared about this she would say she makes sure that plenty of critics of color and women are on the press tour and promote her interviews with them. Framing it not as pro-something, but against white males sets it up as negative feeling and a stunt to seem woke.
Manbabies the thread.
I don't have a problem with what she said, but how is she going to get more representation I wonder.

The irony in all of this, is this shit is the side effect of extremely privileged societies as a whole, regardless of "race".
And the wealth at the top stealing everyone's money, sit back and watch us peasants fight amongst ourselves as they reap all the benefits, ironically in their gated and segregated by class communities.
I'm going to go see it because I like marvel movies. Piss off to this whole controversial bullshit. Why can't people just enjoy things?

I don't think that was what she was saying in her quote. Everyone should have a fair chance to interview her.Word, nobody is telling you not to go see it. Just don't ask her questions if you're a white male.
Enjoy!
Well, on a positive note, the tweetstorm following early screenings is positive. Sounds like what I expect, a solid, 90's inspired action flick.

Well when people are trying to sell you something and more or less call you a cunt, you kind of lose interest in what they are peddling.

Re-read the original quote. From the way she made it sound, that wasn't the case and I don't see a reason for her to bullshit other than PR points. But they already do?
“About a year ago, I started paying attention to what my press days looked like and the critics reviewing movies, and noticed it appeared to be overwhelmingly white male,” Larson said when asked about her reasons for choosing Brown as her interviewer. “So, I spoke to Dr. Stacy Smith at the USC Annenberg Inclusion Initiative, who put together a study to confirm that. Moving forward, I decided to make sure my press days were more inclusive. After speaking with you, the film critic Valerie Complex and a few other women of color, it sounded like across the board they weren’t getting the same opportunities as others. When I talked to the facilities that weren’t providing it, they all had different excuses.”

More specifically more white male reporters than female in general. I feel like she made a fair statement, honestly. She said she feels like they're getting less opportunities because she has less colored people interviewing her than white people, she didn't actually prove it, it just sounds like it.
Maybe there's just more white reporters than black reporters, maybe black reporters just don't find her all that interesting

Insert any other race or <ethnicity> woman and you'd be called a racist/sexist. Call this racist/sexist and you'll be given a lecture about that reverse bigotry isn't "real" and being antagonistic/exclusionary like this is OK.
"I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character." - MLK
But they already do?
I am amazed people fall for this.Well, on a positive note, the tweetstorm following early screenings is positive. Sounds like what I expect, a solid, 90's inspired action flick.
This is amazing for her to do this. I'll probably see the movie 2 times now, just because she said this publically.

LMAO. It's a fucking kids movie dude.Well, on a positive note, the tweetstorm following early screenings is positive. Sounds like what I expect, a solid, 90's inspired action flick.
I'm proud that Brie did this. I hope she doesn't let certain people on Twitter make her feel bad about this. She doesn't need to defend her actions on this one at all.

See it all you want idc. This movie is nothing like Con Air, The Rock, Speed etc. It's a comic book superhero movie aimed towards kids not some throwback to 90s acton movies.People are not allowed to see a movie more than once if it's a kids movie?
I never see movies more than once in cinema, but there are people who do because they like the movie so much.
Nuh huh it has a blockbuster in it.See it all you want idc. This movie is nothing like Con Air, The Rock, Speed etc. It's a comic book superhero movie aimed towards kids not some throwback to 90s acton movies.
