I just read that part of both OP's. I can't believe that, even when you are an emotional mess and with anxiety you can think that booking for 5 days is not going to last you 5 months.

Reading about it seems like a tale of Tabula Rasa: Released from the safe space that is ERA, he lands himself into problems.

Hey everyone, ResetEra member here. I just created a NeoGAF account, and to be honest, I don't really see myself switching my main forum (in fact I don't even know how often I'll post here). So, I'll give some thoughts on the site:

• Yes, ResetEra is far from perfect. I have many issues with it myself (particularly the lack of transparency and too much ambiguity for my liking) and yes, many people can be overbearing with their liberalness
• However, in terms of deciding a forum, I don't look for the perfect place. I look for the best in terms of activity (ResetERA is very active) and not allowing aspects that I want to deal with. So, while ResetERA may be a bit ban happy at times, I'd rather it be that way than not banning posts that support sexism, racism, transphobia, etc.
• As for NeoGAF, I don't talk to you guys here much so I can't speak for how you are in that regard, but lurking this thread I have seen some posts that I find troublesome, and I think they highlight very well why many ERA members don't come here
• Many ERA members have extreme depression and social anxiety, myself included. So, many use ERA as an outlet, which while potentially problematic as it could exacerbate depression, is also a place where many want to just be able to hang out without having to deal with all of the troubles and hardships of life.
• This is essentially a futile endeavour, this thread, since everybody's mind is already set. The NeoGAF users have made up their mind on the ResetERA users, and vice versa. I know from my time dealing with people on VGChartz (which I ended up leaving for ERA) that most conversations end up with neither side changing their views. And I generally won't change mine because I tend to consider it to be correct.

Oheao was also banned as a spammer for this post where he reveals he only advanced to be able to PM. I remember now that he wanted to speak to Blam .

So dude is just extremely socially panicking and that thread might be the result of having an attack. Hell, i wouldn't put it past him that he just made a blanket plan for 5 days and simply was too scared to continue further or cancel the whole ordeal and so he went for 5 days when he is supposed to stay for 5 months.

If that's the case, then i have to ask: Who the fuck is guiding this user? Clearly, he planned all of that, surely someone else knew, right?

Still, proves you shouldn't dump all your plans to ERA. Even more so, aside this problem it does sound like he really ill-prepared himself for it all.

That to me is just crazy. I can understand you aren't going to extensively prepare (Compared to me, and i take preparation seriously and extensively) but if you have extreme social anxiety and your safe space is ERA... Don't you then just want to double or even triple down on the preparations?

This to me sounds like irresponsiblity, atleast for this bloke. You have folks who just go and deal with it. But this guy? He never should have gone without better preparing himself.

Most of the ERA comments are nice though. So there is hope.

As far as I could tell they were pretty socially awkward, and would be prone to breaking down, depending on the situation. So this post honestly seems completely legit to me, and I honestly would be a bit worried for them. As being stranded in china isn't a good place to be stranded in.

Posted about this on Monday. Screenshot is from the situation then, and explanation also:

Only 6.6% (out of 2000+ votes) would never buy another Atlus title again. Other percentages wouldn't buy in specific situations (like Hashino games for example, at 12.6%. Or not just buying Catherine itself at 22%). 56% will continue to purchase without issue.

So basically the majority has no issues with this (58.3% would buy the game) and exactly 400 people (Or 19.2% of the vote) wouldn't buy either another Atlus game or a game with Hashino. And these are the most relevant numbers since those are directly related to the question. The other results are more generic reasons not related to the controversy (Except the bottom one, ofcourse) 400 people.

Out of 2089 people.

Its concerning that almost 20% breaks off a purchase like this, but almost 60% would purchase. All in all, this pull ERA thinks it has is effectively rather meaningless.

Besides that, who of the 19.2% is actually going to uphold their promise? You can't really verify this as a forum so its easy to claim you won't buy another Atlus or Hashino game and then buy it silently anyways.

This is really sad and really sums up how shit that place is.....the fact that the mod team allow personal attacks on people because they showed some common sense and questioned what was being presented to them and then turned around and banned them permanently and then pretty much sweeped everything under the rug.
Hopefully there are some people standing back and having a good look at the place and realising that it was created based off lies and deciept and the trend has pretty much continued on with many people completely unaware that it’s an extreme left wing hive mind masquerading as a gaming forum.

If your from ree and reading through this thread I would urge you to have a look around here and places like kiwifams and make up your own mind about the real reason that site exists for.

Really though, on a sales perspective, ERA's yapping is literally a margin most dev houses already take into account. The fact REE even goes as far as making a list on how to get someone fired says more about them than about the studio.

Its easy to do from your welfare home, scraping by what you can from social security in the US and having non-stop pain. I am saying that as if i am joking, but i am serious. Its an easy getaway to forget about the real life responsibilities they have outside ERA.

And because you do this in a virtual realm, there is a layer of abstraction. Thus they don't feel emotionally attached to it when they say it. Its an easy circumvention from what is basically moral bankruptcy.

Like just about every SJW issue, a small and some reason very vocal group blast their way on stage. Most people are indifferent, or have no issue.

The problem is organizations take those small numbers of complainers and go through hoops to change things the other 90% of people are fine with. And I get it..... the almighty dollar...... if we can change things up and make those 10% of people happy, we'll get those sales and we'll assume any changes made don't affect the other 90% who aren't vocal. Therefore, whew 100% maximum sales achieved!

You can't make everyone happy.

Put it this way. If the government said all taxes will drop for everyone so all people get more money in their pockets, you'll still have craploads of people complaining....... not enough, only poor people should get it, OMG inflation rate will triple, government workers will be fired because not enough tax revenue etc....

So if even something as great and free as free money is, you'd still get complainers. So game makers trying to make their game an all-size-fits-all Revenue Maximizer Edition V3 is a circle jerk of of a never ending loop.

I think so. I got so fed up with the "post this exact opinion or be dog piled and banned" horseshit here that I just started putting every SJW I saw on my ignore list for sanity reasons and to keep my account. I ended up having more than 5 thousand members added over a couple of years (I have zero now). Any topic that we'd see in the Politics board today would have 80-90% of the posts blocked from my ignore list back then.

It wasn't that all members were SJWs, it was just that only SJWs and those who parroted the SJW narratives were allowed to openly post in those threads without being banned. So anyone who wasn't like that just stopped posting as often or got banned anyway. It's exactly what their new site was on its launch and is just as bad today. You see people come out of nowhere and talk about the moderation over there sometimes and it's exactly what used to happen here.

You don’t have any idea about them do you....I will give you one name and you can work back.... excelsorif...the poster on reee with an absolutely stupid amount of posts on the board runs a group of people on the reee discord channel....this groups task is to pretty much bait/report and get people banned.....this group of people are pretty much untouchable and the usual attack pattern is they bait you and then go through your post history reporting your previous posts ....if they have not baited you they look for people who get temp bans and also go through and report their posts....whenever you see the words “previous infractions” in the ban message you can thank excel and his/her hitsquad
