The way they did this weapon locker is so weird. I came across an M4 sniper rifle but I didn't pick it up because I didn't want to lose my mil spec crossbow. So I thought maybe I can go back to camp, equipped the regular xbow, then come back and swap for the M4. Wasn't there when I came back. Fack.

Haven't bought it yet (these anecdotes and peer reviews have sold me on it) but it seems like the combat is great and the world is lush and beautiful along with a great story.

Yeah I remember seeing that tip at the beginning of the game but I wasn't sure because I skipped past it a little quickly. Guess I should've taken it anyways. I'm still trust level 1 at Tuckers.

yeah. The way the snow blankets everything and mutes the world audio is so cool.

I'm enjoying the gameplay loop a lot, but the ambushes are really frustrating. Either you run into a wire that you can't see because the popin / clipping is so bad, or you get sniped off your bike at full speed by an auto aim tree bot. In either case, your bike is automatically dropped to 0% and you have to spend all your scrap for something that felt basically impossible to avoid. Wolves are almost as bad in terms of obvious resource sinks. Luckily, clearing out the map and following the story beats is fun enough to balance it out.

Snipers have gotten me a few times, but I wonder if you can outrun them with enough engine upgrades.

Probably, and also I would guess that when you get better bike parts the damage isn't so bad. It's just really non-intuitive that you have to get off of your bike immediately or else risk getting it damaged so badly. The funnier part is that the health damage if you get sniped seems miniscule by comparison.

Snipers are aim bots in this game. Looks scripted to me! You can’t avoid being knocked of your bike. I’m sure even if you’re in the air flying..

Its a solid fun game, the rest depends on personal taste I would imagine. I mean for some people RDR2 is the greatest piece of gaming ever created, for others its trash bin material.

Never used none of them. I keep increase camp trust for get weapons and upgrade my bike. Try search for NERO station and get health upgrade. Works like a dream.

I think when you clear an ambush camp and get the map from bunker it will show one or two new Nero sites with the injections

I also found a few on my own just exploring

Thank god, I was doing a story stealth mission where I had to follow some dudes. It's actually an interesting story bit and I'm supposed to eavesdrop on them, cept the only problem is Deacon is fucking talking to himself the same time they're talking and it becomes a garbled mess.

That and I happened upon some random survivor trapped in a car surrounded by freakers, I kill them all and there's no prompts or nothing to interact with him.

edit: btw fuck you era for fucking making a fucking thread spoiling late game secrets in the title.

Fuck jawmuncher I hope Dino Crisis sucks.

The biggest down fall of the game is this probably wasn't quite baked enough, imo, although I'm personally not having many more issues (bugs) than Red Dead Redemption level... others are though. Hopefully, more people working on this for Days Gone 2 will eliminate the need for all the patches, and a more solid game on the bugs and technical side of the house at pre-release.

The speed I’m playing at I’m not running into bugs either. Only get time to play on weekends.

I almost didnt buy based on reviews. I love it and im about 5 hours in. Its intense, challenging and fun all at the same time! You have to play like a real human and be smart, its not a arcadeish game for sure.

I'm sure you already tried this. I was almost done playing for the night, and I started to get heavy framerate loss when in the camp, thinking it was related to the camp... I left but the frame drops got real bad. So, I saved and restarted the game and the frames went back to normal. (I'm sure you already tried that, but just sharing what I did) The only other time I've had frame rate issues is a little slow down or shutter every once in a while when its raining at night and hauling ass on the bike.

That sucks, hopefully it smooths out for you.

I like how quickly they are patching it, but they got stung in the reviews because the game wasn't properly tuned before released. They would've done better to wait a few weeks and release it when it was well & truly ready. Sony is usually good about that, but they let this one out of the oven a little early. It suffered in the reviews because of it.

The game has straight locked up for 1-2 seconds 2 or 3 times so far when I was driving around, usually around a bunch of zombies. I think either the IGN or GS review mentioned that happening also. Outside of that it runs smoothly. Hopefully they'll fix that soon.

Stamina sounds a good one because it runs out very quick at the start. Health seems fine. The 2 playthroughs i have been watching, neither player has died much at all.

Have you tried increasing the aim and camera sensitivity? I'm at 9 and 9 and found it helped. The main thing I had to get used to is the guns being very inaccurate if the aiming circle is widened, even if I was like 10 ft away from the target.

I found the shooting pretty close to Uncharted, I'm not sure if that is good or bad. For the record, I think all third person shooting sucks donkey balls, so to me its more about what sucks less. I just didn't notice much difference between this and Uncharted, also you can upgrade some of your focus skills to help. I find I can't really use the pistol up close but I can head shot like a champ with it from medium range, of course very hard to head shot a running zombie.
