I just wonder what will happen if games will be made with so fast CPU in mind from the start. In order to run PS5 30fps game on PC in 60fps you would have to need at least 2x faster CPU than Ryzen 2

It will still release on PC’s though...

Don’t know how it can be a bullshot if it’s being played on a platform in which it releases.
That didn’t change the bullshot.

Games demoed in PC high specs to show how it will look on consoles are bullshots.

Others devs did the same and they were called bullshots... there are even cases where the game demoed has to be scaled drown because the console was a limitation factor like Watch Dogs or The Division,

CPUs on pc run at higher frequencies and can be much beefier. Pc overhead is not that big that consoles get pseudo-100% advantage.

That's why all next-gen games should offer a 60 fps option. It will also help PSVR2 adoption.

Console gamers will be able to enjoy gameplay fluidity (reminiscent of the arcade era, not to mention zero loading times) and PC gamers won't have to buy 6.4 GHz CPUs. Win-win.

How much higher and beefier?

Assuming that next-gen games will have perfect multi-core scaling, then you will need 16 cores @ 3.2 GHz to reach 60 fps or 6.4 GHz for single-threaded games (just look at Crysis 1 and its CPU requirements).

Pc overhead is not that big that consoles get pseudo-100% advantage.
PC overhead will always be a thing with DX11, there's no way around it.

My most anticipated game remaining that knocked TLoU2 down the list. Even Death Stranding moved it down as well with the new trailer, where I was on the fence about DS prior, and I really enjoyed TLoU.

I can't even imagine what we are in store for, with a Zen 2, much faster memory bandwidth, SSD sauce, 10-12TF, etc., baseline for first party games!

Wait? Devkits are out, no? Sony is demonstrating the devkit already.
Maybe, but if the devkit was made available recenlty, it's unlikely that most studios have converted over to it completely. They're most likely working on similar spec'd PCs at this point. We aren't even aware if NAVI or ZEN2 is even readily available to install into a desktop let alone a devkit. Also, did Sony confirm that they have devkits or did Pastebin?

You have to consider, any demo that is shown is probably a stable, months old build of the games. They don't just grab it from production and call it a day.

Sony confirmed they were running Spider-Man on PS5 devkits at event.
They whole point was to show the proprietary SDD solution on de devkit.

No. PS5 devkit. A devkit can still be a PC at this point.
Do you have connections or something? Have you seen what the fuckin' thing looks like?

EDIT:
I'm well aware that a PC is considered a Devkit. I think we're done here, I'm speaking in context to the article which mentions that Halo : Infinite will most likely be played on a PC. Which makes me think that final devkits aren't complete, not that some form of them doesn't exist.

We know Sony showed at least twice the devkits:

- Wired (that one called a slower version of the recent devkit)
- Financial event to show Spider-Man demo (that one showed to all participantes)

I'm not saying devkits don't exist, but the current devkit probably doesn't look like a Scarlet Xbox like the Xbox One devkit looks like an Xbox One. It probably looks like a PC and it probably is one for the most part. Same could be said for Playstation 5.

i went back and re-read what you put. i can see the misunderstanding. you put final in front of console and didnt with the devkit but now i get what you mean

If Sony is using proprietary tech in their SSD solution then it not a PC... even if it is in a PC tower what is inside is the devkit hardware not PC hardware.

The board, connections, etc are not standard PC parts... they have even bus for RAM cache used in their SSD tech.
Plus no PC processor actually has PCI-E 4.0 to Sony demonstrate... so they are using at least an engineer sample Zen 2 or the most probably an engineer sample APU Zen2 + Navi.

What they demonstrated is something PC hardware can't archive... it was the whole point of the presentation.

People are just trying to say there is a difference between-

Devkit - Target specs.
PC - Could be made up of anything.
 
I think we are only going to be marginally more informed after E3. I took a quick look at the "Project Scorpio" E3 reveal as the timing is similar (1+ year away from release). In summary: 4k resolution and 6TF. That's it. I wouldn't be surprised if a similar announcement is made (e.g. 4k/60, xxTF) without much else. And I"m not expecting anything new from Sony in the near term. These speculations will possibly continue until E3 2020.
