I’m not going to get into a debate about this. I already did it with my middle school kids when they thought it was cool.

There’s a million other things you could say in the place of that. Pick one, it can still be insulting without being offensive.

That “workaround” is still just as offensive as the original word and nobody is fooling anyone with it.

Oh do not misunderstand, it would take alot more to use the ignore button. I just meant step out and stop engaging . As far as the rest that would be assuming that I am not already confident that I did and moved on. I know there is an inherent need to stir shut up for lulz but if you could find someone else that would be super.

It was no offence or anything. Just a recent debate I had with my kids and how it’s not OK.

If the community here feels it’s OK I’ll move on.

I don’t want to be the thought police. Just wanted to give my 2 cents.

In Japan there is an area that has hotsprings. I was on google maps a few years ago trying to come up with some kind of Japanese name for myself cause #realweebhours and I typed in "japan hotsprings" as I was typing in various words like stores, districts, etc. This hotspring area caught my eye called "Kokonoe" then I researched what the word meant and how it was pronounced so I was like "okay this sounds cool!" so it became my name. :p

Don't know if you followed the debate about Sekiro's lack of easy mode. They insisted that everyone should have been able to play and finish Sekiro.

I tried to quote the same words Miyazaki said, that is he doesn't want to compromise his vision and that his games are a challenge gamers have to overcome with the tools he gives them.

Well, they accused me and many others saying the same of being ableist and compared my opinion to nazism ideology.

I am not even kidding. That was the moment i understood they were going crazy. By calling everyone not agreeing with them nazi they are behaving like real nazis. Not accepting other opinions beside the one accepted by the Era hivemind.
