Zoe Quinn #meToo / Alec Holowka suicide -- Update: Article questions ZQ's account of events (link in OP)

I mean, there's recent precedent for involuntary manslaughter for pushing someone to suicide, so... it's hardly unthinkable. Especially when it's so well-documented, as it is here. In this context, it doesn't matter whether or not she made it up, just to be clear.

Would be nice to see actual consequences for this kind of shit, particularly with someone as openly and notoriously uppity as Zoe.

It kind of is unthinkable though. I believe I know what case you're referring to, but remember that one had a shitload of evidence of the girlfriend directly attempting to get her boyfriend to kill himself. If Quinn's accusation exists in a vacuum, with no private messaging between her and Alec that could be damning, then it's going to be reeeeeal shit to try and prove she did that with the intent of getting him to commit suicide. Most of us can see she clearly laid the groundwork for it and she was fully aware of what mental state he was in, but in a court it doesn't matter what's true, what matters is what you can prove.

You don't need to show intent to drive him to suicide, per se. Dunno what state we're talking about, but I'm assuming California, so...

Penal Code 192b is the California law that defines the crime of involuntary manslaughter. This crime occurs when one person kills another person unintentionally, either

  1. while committing a crime that is not an inherently dangerous California felony, OR
  2. while committing a lawful act which might produce death, without due caution.
Obviously, we're looking at #2 here. What we can probably demonstrate is that Zoe was aware of the victim's mental state and that she was aware from her rabble-rousing history that posting what she did was likely to trigger an extreme backlash against the victim. Considering that these sorts of things have been known to result in the loss of someone's job, friends, etc. , you can see how this would've backed him into a corner, and how in his fragile mental state, he could be driven to suicide.

Or something along those lines. The important distinction with involuntary manslaughter, though, is that it doesn't require intent to kill someone, unlike other murder charges. It depends almost entirely on how much they want to investigate, but the evidence is absolutely there if they wanna make a case.

Does she not also have mental health issues? In such cases justice usually let it slide or will have a psychologist re-evaluate her mental health

Tweet aside, why are people even donating to her? Her patron states that she's creating video games and patreons get special access to that but she hasn't made a game since Depression Quest, I think. Her last patreon update is from 2 years ago for fuck's sake. If you're such an idiot as to donate to Zoe just do everyone a favor and throw that money on the street. It will find a better person.

This.

And I think the reason people are pissed isn't because she's directly to blame for his suicide, it's that she has a complete understanding of how Twitter and the internet works, and used it against him.

Compounding this is the fact that we simply are not dealing with an accuser who has any kind of credibility.

This woman has demonstrated in nearly every facet of her life, from the way she speaks, the way she reasons, to the things she does, that her word on any matter is best dubious. We're talking about someone who uses sex as a form of currency. Someone who won't think twice to use sex or sexual attraction to acquire money, fame or both. This person is a fucking sociopath. She used her pathetic army of neckbeards to drive someone to suicide and when he does, her reaction is to interpret that death in terms of how it affects her.

And we're supposed to act like we believe she got raped by this guy? Like we're all supposed to believe that the default position, the most likely reality is that she got raped, NOT that she lied, fucked him, used him and ruined him, and then used him again later by accusing him? Like that's something that nobody could even fucking imagine her doing?

Fuck Twitter and the mindless batteries that perpetuate its cancerous cause.

Also fuck her. She's a piece of shit. Unfortunate truth is she'll never feel any guilt or responsibility for any of this. She's never felt guilty or responsible in her entire life. And nobody is ever going to actually be her friend and tell her how shitty she really is. Because the fact is her followers are probably worse than her. And they don't even care about her. They care about whatever attention she might bestow upon them. That entire application is nothing more than everyone stabbing and waiting for their opportunity to get big. And if they will get more likes and followers by mutilating themselves and their dignity to show they love you, they'll do it. And if they think they can become even more popular by selling you out, leapfrogging you over opportunities or even accusing you of rape they will fucking do it.

It's the absolute worst of humanity. Concentrated and packed for you to look at.

Yeah, but so did he. She basically bullied him, knowing his fragility.

She basically said she turned into the thing she hated, years ago according to screen grabs:

Look, I don't like Zoe's actions and I think she should be held accountable for the severe damage she caused. But in the end, she's also a product of her environment. That's why it's so important to be caring parents, to love those close to us, and don't drive them to the point of madness because we have been through tough times ourselves.

It certainly makes you question the motives of airing this publicly if years ago he contacted her privately, apologized for the way he acted, and left that thinking she got resolution from it.

Even before he killed himself, what resolution did she hope to get from publicly shaming him? How would anyone have benefitted from it, Zoe included?

I can think of a better way... The 2 of them together publicly coming forward with what happened. The work both put in to not be what he once was and the work she put in to forgive him.

In this internet mob climate, what an amazing story that would have been for both of them. Forgiving isn't exactly easy, but Zoe could have been an example of an amazing person who went from victim to hero, from powerless to unbreakable.

Unfortunately the end has made them both look like monsters.

Again, this is the age we live in. An apology is NEVER enough for these people. Guilty or not, he made an apology that she seemingly accepted, but to win points in this war that only these fucktards are engaging in, she had to air this shit in public and help towards a guy killing himself. And for what? Some fucking sympathy? What is the point of all this? They feel left out because it was only being taking seriously in the film and tv industry, and we want it taken seriously here as well? When does this shit end??? Granted, we don't EVER want harassment for ANYONE, but there are avenues other than twitter to air your grievances...

It will matter later in the judicial investigation, mark my words. To be able to speak to the UN, they myst have high patrons protection.

Dude, get a grip. This is reality we are talking about. The circle jerk of SJW wokeness isn't going to matter a shit in a court of law or to a Judge versus the findings of an investigation. Up until now, these internet spats have resulted in people being ostracised or losing their jobs, but someone killed themselves here. This is a significant step up.

One thing you have to remember is this happened in Canada and our legal system is a complete joke. You can murder someone here, not be found responsible due to insanity, get a day pass and flee the country.
I'm not holding my breath for any form of justice here. Watch Dear Zachary if you want an in depth look at how stupid our system is at protecting victims.

When Zoe is investigated, yes she will be investigated if she isn't already under investigation, her removal of her twitter account timed with the incident will likely be considered an attempt at destroying/concealing evidence. Without knowing all the facts it's hard to say how this man's family or local authorities will respond, but it's very likely she faces criminal and/or civil action for involuntary manslaughter and wrongful death.

Considering the amount of variables working in Zoe's favour and Canada's leniency towards those displaying mental health vulnerabilities, I also doubt she will face any severe consequences.

Whether those features of the justice system are right or wrong is debatable though. It's a complex issue.

Asia Argento got caught grooming a kid, Anthony caught her on a cheat trip, Asia said she was going to drop some dirt on him.

Anthony hung himself.

Can't make rent, so please donate.

Anyone know why in this day and age, so many morons can't get a normal job?.........

............ I think I got the answer. Get off your ass from Twitter and go calling and knocking on doors to get a real job. There's only so many millionaire Ninja social media people out there.

Reminds me of high school. Every jock thinks they are going to be the next sports star when probably 1 out of every 10,000 makes pro. Cut the BS. You aren't Tom Brady. Just get a normal job with a normal pay cheque every two weeks.

Cops, it’s time for the law to make an example of the perversion that is cancel culture. Direct responsibility needs to be attributed, and accountability applied.

It’s barbaric and has no place in an evolved society.
Well, some have started making plans to counter swatting, so why not #metoo cancel culture?

I agree, I don’t use Twatter.
