Too bad they didn't put as much effort into making the game run right. Judging from the reviews in the Xbox One game store, I'm not the only one having problems.

Guess that's fine? What I don't get is that this online/gaming LGBTQ culture is such stark contrast to real life gay people. We have two gay men in our team and also two gay men and a bisexual woman in our extended circle and none of those people go around announcing their sexual orientation with symbols or tokens (csd on the side). And that's because it's none of my fucking businesses. Sure they talk about their partners and also hold hand with a man, like other people do in public. But for me old dude it's something different then running around with a pride flag online and screaming on twitter about such things.

PS: gears is kinda gay anyway. Nothing but good looking, hot muscular guys that play hard to get but have a soft emotional core. If I where a young horny gay teenager I would love this game like I loved tomb raider back in the day :p

I think they're being given WAY too much praise for putting in flags into their games. There's an obvious Gears 5 circle jerk going on and the question of why it's only happening now should be asked.

We don't need "representation" in games at all. It's nice to see an lbgt character every now and again if it flows naturally with the story but if you're LGBT and you're happy about a fucking flag in a game then you've got more problems than being lbgt.

I don't look at videogame characters ad wonder what their sexual orientation is and again if you do that for fun it's cool but if you're upset by it then you're got more problems than being LGBT.

Sadly I know I don't speak for some LGBT but I assure you I speak for most normal non Twitter fools.

19 different flags WTF. Since when is it important to showcase in game who you'd like to fuck? How is it of any importance at all. I'm all for representation but this is ridiculous. This just examplifies that LGBTQ+ are different instead of equal to straight people.

Even though I’m not deaf I do appreciate the effort they went through with the subtitles to make the game more enjoyable for them.

The Pride and LGBT stuff makes very little difference to me, but apparently a big one to them. So whatever.

I am most offended by every country having a basic flag, but Mexico gets 4 and none of them are thier national flag. I get that Gears is huge there, but I want a badass Canadian skull.

Gay pride is an interesting one for me. I'm not sure how it is in other countries but where I'm from you kinda have to understand sometimes it's hard to meet people like yourself so a weekend of gay activities usually brings out other gay lads so from that point of view it's nice.

LGBT isn't really an issue in most western societies in the world at this stage. Yes the trans issue is the hot topic at the moment but that's another story.

Just for the sake of clarification: the "strong female character" is a cliché. Meaning that it's a narrative template that is the same in all the stories where it is represented. Strong is not an adjective. In fact, one of the characteristics of these "strong female characters" is that is neither strong nor femenine. That 's why it is so loathable.

A strong female character is but a spin-off of the "macho character" so popular in the 80-90. Also, they are Mari Sues. They don't have any relevant backstory, no evolution, barely show any emotions. They don't stop showing their entitlement and how they don't need to be taught anything by anybody (let alone a man). They don't make mistakes, either. Of course, they are against maternity, which is usually what makes women carry out heroic deeds (see Ellen Ripley or Cersei Lannister, for example)

Unfortunately, Rey from Star Wars led the way of this lazy writing that has polluted cinema and videogames alike.

I don't really care about communities as long as they don't interfere in my business. Don't get me wrong but 19 FLAGS for representation? How much recognition does any community need? As for the disability features, Microsoft are the best. Props to them
