Happens every single time. Why do these people keep announcing cool shit so early in development? Its almost as if theyre trying to get nintendo to give them the dickens.Tattletale basement dwelling Dorito eating Hentai tentacle cosplay porn watching Reddit edgelord neckbeards calling Nintendo in 3...2...
As excited as I am for the Link's Awakening remake, I would have rather had this.
Its not even a game, just a concept he made to make this video. There wont be any developmen.Nintendo’s lawyers calling in 3...2...1...
I don't know man, the original ALTTP is still very playable. LA is janky as fuck.
Nintendo Lawyers:
This is not a fan game, and I won't be working further on this. There will not be any downloads. It's a video
Nintendo never blows their load too quick. Little spurts here and there to keep us thirsty.Gorgeous proof of concept. Never understood why Nintendo didn't make this game running on the Link between Worlds engine for the Switch. Imagine a double pack of these two great titles in HD.

but because I prefer the pixel perfection of the classic LA
I think I'd prefer this to the Link's Awakening remake--not because LttP is better, as I firmly believe that LA is the vastly greater game, but because I prefer the pixel perfection of the classic LA but always found something a bit off about the wide spaces of LttP, which would actually benefit from a remake.
A good example of jank would be comparing street fighter 1 to street fighter 2.I do know. It controls like ass and the game features some heavy sprite lag. It's one of my favorite Zelda games of all time and I have a tattoo inspired by it. I love it, but it needed a remake more than any other Zelda probably.

Links awakening is not jankey.
Oh yeah, this C&D is gonna come real quick.
Its not a gameffs why do they always do this?
Just hold the announcement until its ready to release, that way it'll be on the internet forever
concept art?Its not a game
I think LA controls poorly. Not that ALTTP is perfect, but it's definitely smoother. You can get used to the controls and LA isn't such an extreme example of jank as SF 1, but it definitely felt like it needed a remake.
LA in my mind controls as well if not better. Link has a satisfyingly lag-free sword swing that you can just spam.
If Nintendo were smart, they would seek out the creator, hire them to finish the project and release it for $60 on Switch.

This guy has no secret ability that Nintendo needs. This is not a situation like Sonic Team which needed outside help to make a decent Sonic title.
Nintendo could have done it on Gamecube if they wanted to. The problem isn't finding talent, the problem is simply deciding to make it happen.
They have a very weird relationship with their back catalog. They monetize it while also CAREFULLY guarding it at the same time. It's like Disney's "vault".
I agree. LTTP is well enough in its current state. LA needs a remake badly. The most recent iteration is on Game Boy Color.
LA's engine was good enough to be reused again eight years afters its release for the Oracle games with hardly any additional polish. ALttP has the issue of having less attack range if you attack north versus south. This is especially painful with the hammer.I don't know man, the original ALTTP is still very playable. Very true, but he's already done the majority of the work which means it would cost next to nothing to make a lot of money off it.
