I doubt the mods actually care, versus keeping up appearances of some level of respectability for the site. They’re probably handing out pats on the back in a Discord, and discussing how to take further action on the doxxing info.

Yep. Where I work incident managers just create and invite people to calls. They are pretty much just secretaries. They are the lowest end of the totem poll and have minimal tech knowledge.

We definitely would have. Though I don't blame anyone really for the new port. That is just taking the lazy way out and not going out of their way to update. Easier to just give everyone the censored version than try to remove the censorship.

Seems like they've started walking that back, at least somewhat. DMCV got a patch that took out the lense flair the other versions didn't have a while back. AFAIK they're still bad with things like Senran Kagura, but not as full tilt as they were originally.

Obama made comments on the idea that you can basically become the villain, if you fail to communicate your ideas in an intelligent way.
I would say a good half of the remaining resetera peeps had a logical response.
But the other half..
They took this Obama turn as a justification, for rape, war, and just general ignorance. Not that Obama justifies it, but his presidency allows it.

A lot of their "lobbying" and "activism" against videogame publishers and developers is based around the fear that profits will be affected by bad publicity.
Take that away and you're going to end up with publishers and developers doing whatever they want and being untouchable.
Like haven't these people gone after pretty much EVERY alternative to Twitter, Facebook, Youtube etc? When they do that they try to go after their bottom line. Go down this road and you won't be able to pressure Platform X to stop giving the "alt-right" a voice because nobody will care.

I'm so glad I live in a country where the left isn't just that side, and the right is that side. We have multiple parties that all fill spectrums on this left to right scale. some are far left, some more center left, some far right, others lean more to the center. If I disagree with someone, I don't need to go to the other end of the spectrum, I can just nudge left or right. When we have elections, multiple parties often end up forming governments. Sure there is conflict and compromises are essential, but it works. And to a large degree I think we avoid this us vs them nonsense.
This two party system in the US was bound to collapse at some point, and looking at how the left is crumbling now, it was just a matter of time.
