Yes, Microsoft had/have no features in their Xbox OS that Sony doesn't have - like snap, hdmi-passthrough or an actual working filesystem that doesn't crash like Sonys... or you know, a small thing called backwards compability, which Sony gave up on. Microsoft is clearly superior to Sony, when it comes to software developement. As I wrote above - it's not even a competetion.

Sony does some things better (like Shareplay and installation of games), but when added up, it's a clear win for Microsoft. As for hardware, the PS4 was obviously better than the XB1. On the other hand - the controllers are superior on the XB1.. so even there, it's not as clear a win as some people would like.

Didn't Xbox change their UI from the tiled mess that it was to an imitation of the XMB.... people could hardly find what they were looking for on the tiles system.
PlayStation had better share play, clips and image taking and had Spotify years before Xbox, as well as a better party system, game pages, competitions and clans.

The thing Xbox is good at is iterating quickly and updating.

I'd also say the controllers have very little between them and it really comes down to preference for symmetrical vs offset analogues.

They both give and take but we all know who the clear winner has been for a reason Microsoft after tht thrashing basically changed and mimicked Sony's moves from tht point forward from removing kinect, to speaking about how devs have freedom to create what thy want, to talking about how Gears would be more open like Uncharted, to creating communitues and a calendar set up like ps4 had, to making a fake shareplay feature, etc come on bro we know what it is.

This "Klee" person doesn't seem very reliable. Then again, almost none of these leakers do. I don't see either system having any significant performance edge over the other in terms of TFLOPs and 10% (or more) would be dipping into that significant territory.

If Sony and MS don't want to outright talk specs, then start talking games. And I mean some genuinely refreshing and interesting games. Not cross-gen ports. Not big FPS or "cinematic" game sequels. I want to see some fresh new creative IP or at the very least, revivals of classics I enjoy (UmJammer Lammy sequel would get me pretty happy ).

Klee really hasn't told us much of anything to be honest. It's amazing how much credit he's being given, how much he's being acknowledged by the gaming community.

He's also careful to protect himself. I can already hear the "I never said this or I never claimed that" when even what little he's claiming perhaps comes up short. This is why you won't EVER hear memory allocation, CU count or clock speeds from him.

I'm not even attacking the guy, it's just that I'm always sceptical whenever someone claims to know what both sides are doing. This would mean that his dev source has a seat at both Sony and MS' tables.

And again, just the track record of leakers. They never get it all right, rarely have they ever hit a homerun on all their insider points. If Kleefan does, he would be the first.

Yet their os on xbox one was trash, all gen most of the continual updates were to catch up to what Sony had out the box in features and they didn't have software features like shareplay and a couple of others Sony had. They recently came out with this watered down, trash, pseudo share play feature via mixer. Sony just doesn't push forward hardware but does some nice, innovative things on the software side too, some better than Microsoft.

Xbox One OS was definitely trash, and the UI, to this day, still isn't great. I always liked the simplicity of the PS4 UI, although I don't think the system pushed any new ground from a functionality standpoint. Microsoft DID try a few things, but by now, they're all either long gone or totally underemphasized (like OneGuide still exists, but you wouldn't know unless you actually look for it).

I'm most certainly reading the same thing you are. At this point what could he be called out for? A claim of better than 10TFs? Still no solid numbers. But you're obviously all in with him so I'll just leave it.
